We just cashed in on the Connecticut Restaurant Week special dinner menu at Feng, and what a joy it was!
The golden salmon roll was light, sweetly peppery, and beautifully presented, with sprigs of radish sprouts contrasting with the rich salmon.
The Beauty Connecticut roll was equally toothsome, with a delicate blend of flavors.
Finished with the lovely, crisp Fuji Apple Spring Roll, served with vanilla ice cream and a dollop of berry jam.
My wife, not a raw fish fan, tried the Beef and Asparagus Maki and the braised short rib. A pathetically light eater, she finished every morsel and refused to allow me even a taste.
Drinkable wine was $20.12 a bottle, $7 a glass.
We know that Restaurant Week is time to sample around, but we may have to return to Feng.
