Primo Pizza's major attributes are their low prices and that they deliver. You won't live long in Hamden without finding an advertisement from them in your mailbox.
The pizza, at best, is just average. It has none of the taste associated with a typical "New Haven" pizza. Yet their offerings differ little from your average pizza, available nationwide. To put Primo in context: Primo is to pizza what McDonalds is to hamburgers.
Nevertheless the prices are quite low and it certainly wins the area's award for lowest price. Many people, particularily those from out of Town (like Quinnipiac University students who live nearby) will find this pizza just fine and a real bargain.
This is primarily a place that relies on delivery or take out. The few tables available are really meant for those waiting to pick up their pie.
