“Not great”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

I can't say that I liked this hotel. The rooms were run down; one had a strong smoke smell and, in the other, the tub didn't drain and the TV remote didn't work. The heat/AC was incredibly loud. The breakfast was minimal; scrambled eggs and toast/ bagels and cereal, served in a conference room. the location wasnt bad, with a Walmart and Supermarket across the street and a Five Guys a few steps away. overall, i would not stay here again.

Front ddesk people were very nice
When I first walked in I could smell the pool water from the lobby n the pool is on a lower level
I didn't use the pool or even go see it
The parking kinda sucks if ur room is further to the back if the building u can park there but it's very dark not well lit at night n I kinda got scared when I was alone walking to my car they could use better lighting in the back lot
Breakfast was ok by the time i got there there was only some muffins toast n eggs left the oj is gross tho
The room was clean they could use some updating but it wasn't horrible
The bed was really comfy the air n heat worked fine
The bathroom was clean and well stocked
The bar lounge area closed before midnight so you might want to check for Times that it's open
The room had a fridge microwave and tv hair dryer
I would stay here again it was only like $100 last min only think I would def do is request a room closer to a well lit area to park

Knowing that Ramadas are not known to be luxurious, and each property is a franchise, I tried to set my expectations accordingly. I was uneasy after having read the reviews but since my friend had made a non-refundable reservation, I didn't want to alarm her. To say this place was a little dirty is a bit like saying that the Grand Canyon is a little hole in the ground.

If you are looking for an inexpensive room, a convenient location, and decent beds, your list will be checked for these items. To be fair, it's not a Hyatt and doesn't represent itself as such. There are a number of things, however, that are inexcusable.

Our early check-in request was not honored; not the end of the world. This gave us a chance to use the restrooms, conveniently located down the stairs and in another zip code. The décor was modern grunge. Okay, maybe they concentrate their efforts on the rooms and the remainder of the property, rather than this out of the way public restroom. No. They don't.

To enter the rooms, you drive to the back of the property (as instructed by front desk staff so that we could see our cars through the window of the room), drag your luggage over the curb (no ramp in the sidewalk), enter through the side door located next to a large light that is at least 50% obstructed by a large bird's nest that runs from the light bulb to about 6 inches over the fixture, drag your luggage up a few stairs, and take the elevator to the second floor.

No visible bed bugs. Good sign. Could have lived without the petrified spider corpse hanging from the bureau and the fruit flies looming in the bathroom though. Could have also lived without the huge mystery stain on the spread that was draped over my bed, the hair on my friend's pillow, the stains on the walls, the filth throughout the bathroom and the toilet that I can only describe as "textured." If a toilet had dark chicken pox, this is what it would have looked like. Probably nothing a toilet brush couldn't have taken care of, oh, a few months ago.

One last thing. This property is aromatic. If Yankee Candle were to market it, it would probably be called Stale Curry Funk.

Anyone shopping for a relatively inexpensive room with indoor plumbing and a mattress will probably be satisfied. It's a roof over your head, and does meet the basic needs of a weary traveler that just wants a place to sleep.

I had to arrive here VERY late, like 4 a.m., and they allowed me a "late" checkout of 12 noon (normal is 11). But then they gave me a room whose location made it impossible to sleep in the morning, as people were constantly slamming the door to the outside which was RIGHT outside my window as they went from one part of the building through the courtyard to the lobby. It took forever to figure out where breakfast is--it's hidden downstairs near the basement pool, in a very unpleasant room with no windows, and the breakfast selection leaves much to be desired. Yogurt is the only nice touch--scrambled eggs in a hot plate were disgusting and pastry selection was minimal, fruit unappealing. With Walmart right across the street, they can't do better?
The place smells strongly of curry, as there is an Indian restaurant attached.
On the plus side, the surroundings are lovely. The room was nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable, with nice newer bedding and towels. Free wifi worked fine. If it weren't for all the noise in the morning, I would have enjoyed my stay.

Dear FlyerMontana...Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are always happy to hear from our guests and appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback concerning your stay. There was a blizzard when we went and we got "locked in" because everything else was closed and it was a state of emergency. It was nice that there was a Walmart across the street so we could buy some food since the hotel restaurant closed.
The place was pretty dirty, stains on the wall, ceilings, and sheets. The hot tub was good the first day, then overnight some kids went in and made a hole in the hot tub!
I've stayed in cleaner hostels in Europe than this place and it had an old smell to it. If you are looking just for a place to sleep, it gets the job done. If you are looking for it to add to a nice getaway, I would go elsewhere.

Dear SD022...Thank you for taking the time to review your blizzard of November 2012 stay with us. We are always glad to hear from our guests and appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, large snowstorms such as the one that stranded you and many others here are extremely trying. Some guests are stranded here, others are trying to get here, and still others are trying to get home. Our staff also have to work multiple shifts because other staff can't get here, some of them with children waiting for them to come home. Even under those circumstances they do the best they can to accommodate our guests. We apologize that in this case we did not meet your expectations. Again, thank you for your review.

Stopped here 1 night on 16 day roadtrip. Hotel newly decorated, room’s fine, clean and comfortable. Handy laundry onsite but need own soap (Wallmart opposite or you may find 2 bottles we left behind by mistake). Indian restaurant in hotel which was ok or diner across street.
Good value hotel for price, would stay again.
