“Great local bar and restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2006

The Spot feels a lot like a sports bar. In fact, it pretty much is a sports bar. But, there is a difference here. The main menu items aren't chicken wings or fingers. There's an extensive selection of items, all of them homemade. The burgers are excellent - cooked to order and loaded with tomatoes, lettuce, etc. For the adventurous or extremely hungry, there's even a 2.5 pound burger. All the soups are made on the premises and all that I've tried have been excellent. The fried seafood is also good, though there is better nearby.

On tap is a good selection of beer. Wine and mixed drinks are also available.
