5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

This museum captures the history of New England in a way that is unique. Located on the bank of the Connecticut River it makes the history of Essex come alive. A great lesson in the history that helped secure our liberty to enjoy a free America. Don't miss this jewel of Connecticut!

“River history”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

Cleverly organized and full of river history. The exhibits are worth investigating. Take time to stroll along the river and sit on a bench to reflect.

“This is a really cool interactive museum on the river”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2012

I actually went a few years ago with my parents. It's really cool because you can play with some interactive things that they have there and you can learn about the CT River. Plus, it's right on the river so you can spend time looking at it and seeing the boats. Another plus is the town of Essex. Check it out!
