Good location, though it is a few minutes away from I-84 - not right at an exit. This staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The public areas are clean and updated. The rooms need some help. The furniture was showing a lot of signs of age. One of the 2 beds sagged really badly. The breakfast is good but there are other chains that have better variety. The pool was very warm. There are plenty of hotels in Danbury - you can do a lot better than this one.

My family and I stayed in this hotel for one night in November of 2006. I can confirm some of the issues raised in other reviews. The breakfast buffet is fair ... not a lot of choices and not a lot of seating. I've had worse and I've also had a lot better. The front desk staff was very nice; check-in/check-out was quick and simple.

As for room smells, our room on the second floor didn't have any. It was large, clean, and the sleeper sofa was great so the kids didn't have to double up. The exercise room is small, but has several machines

What really disappointed me about this stay was the "In room safe" charge that appeared on the bill when I checked out. This charge is not mentioned when you check in, this $1.00 charge just appears when you check out. I asked that it be removed since we didn't use the safe. I think this must happen a lot because the clerk did remove the charge, but replied with a canned answer about how they put this on automatically. In my opinion, this borders on the dishonest. I could see charging IF someone actually used the safe (just like some places charge IF you use their telephone). If it wasn't for this I could have easily made this a 3, maybe ever a 4, star review.

Stayed here for one night. I wasn't very impressed, the hotel is old and has some funny smells. The indoor pool is just OK, not that nice. The breakfast in the morning was just fair, the coffee came out of a machine. For almost the same price, the Hampton Inn is much nicer, brand new and much better breakfast. This would not be my first choice in Danbury.

The room wasn't very clean. The shampoo in the bathroom was unsealed and 1/2 used. The second night they cleaned the room but didn't empty the bathroom barrel. The breakfast attendant wasn't very pleasent. She was handleing the food without gloves and without washing her hands after cleaning the tables.
