“I had no choice....But to stay here.”

This is by far the WORST Hotel I have ever stayed in, in my life! The carpet was beyond moldy, walk on this with bare feet and you may end up with fungus. The bathroom was not cleaned, there was HAIR IN THE TUB!!!! GROSS!!! I HAD to stay here because it was the only hotel with availablity and I had no power at my house for hours. In the middle of the night the power went out here also, and they only gave customers a $10 credit...??? There was no heat!!! The only thing that was working was the water... but who is going to shower in the dark..?? I am extremely dissappointed and would not recommend this place. There are other hotels that are much nicer... Like the Courtyard Marriott. The rates are really cheap here @75 per night, that is the only plus.

We left without staying there, even though it was 10:30 at night and we had been driving all day.

First, the person at the desk was extremely rude when I called to ask for directions to the hotel. Then when we got up to the room, it had a horrible smell, a combination of cigarette smoke and some other awful smell. There were also weird stains on the carpet.

I had been very clear about requesting a non-smoking room since I am allergic. I called down to ask for a different room, but the person at the desk immediately started arguing with me and, without even letting me speak, kept insisting that she had given us a non-smoking room. I wasn't sure that it was one, since I had seen a whole bunch of doors with no-smoking symbols and this room didn't have one. At any rate, I didn't care if it was one or not, I just wanted a room that didn't smell horrible and that wouldn't kick up my allergies.

My husband and I are the type of people that almost never complain about bad service, we usually just laugh these things off. But this was so bad, we decided to leave and go over to the Best Western, where we had a nice stay.

I did not feel all that good about the parking lot either at this hotel, it was kind of dark and creepy.

I booked with this hotel under the Wellsley Inn name. I booked a handi-capped room for my elderly mother on the ground floor. I booked a room on top floor for myself.
First problem was that someone tried to break into my mother's room. She woke up to an arm trying to push the window open. Scared her to death.
Security was called and a drunk was found trying to get into rooms with open windows.
My room was just o.k. My 5th floor was alive with drinking college kids on spring break. There was screaming, and door slamming into 2 a.m. I called security and they had to come up twice to quiet things down. This was the same night that my Mom's room was broken into.
Hotel wouldn't credit me a night for the scare my Mom had. I did have her moved to the room next to mine for rest of stay.
Stay away from here. Not safe, not clean, noisy and staff not sensitive to your needs.

We stopped at the Wellesly Inn for just an overnight on our way to another destination. The room rate was pretty good ($69), the Hotel was right off the highway, breakfast was free, and the front desk attendant was very nice. But thats all I can say thats nice about this hotel. The hallways were dirty, run down, and in need of some repair. The rooms were also dirty. My son saw ants crawing up the wall and my wife saw a huge spider in the bathroom. The room itself smelled like some kind of cleaning solution. Apparently they stuck some kind of smelly thing in the very noisy A/C unit to try to make the room smell better. All it did was give the room some type of chemical smell. While I said breakfast was free .... we should have skipped at and just found a Dunkin Donuts somewhere instead.

My group came all the way from Baltimore, Maryland thinking they were going to stay in a nice hotel for our weekend lodging. Our stay at the Danbury Connecticut Wellesley Inn was a total disaster. Here is just a brief list of the major complaints.
A. No Hot Water for 2 complete days – The sections of rooms my group was assigned to had No Hot Water during our 2 day stay. This is in clear violation of health code violations. The staff stated that the system was inadequate for the amount of guest that was at the hotel. Some guests were assigned to other rooms, but even most of those rooms had No Hot Water. Yes the water was cold…Not even warm. Many of us had to heat up water in the coffee pot so they could wash.

B. Many of the rooms had major plumbing problems. There were stopped up bath tubs, sinks, and toilets.

C. No Heat. In some rooms the heat would not work. These rooms were very cold.

Never will I stay at another Wellesley Inn for the rest of my life!
