“Pushing the Frontiers Forward”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

I have enjoyed this restaurant on several occasions, and each time I was impressed with the freshness and creativeness of this restaurant. They have daily specials of both sushi and other Japanese items. Always fresh and interesting. I highly recommend the specials, although I must confess that I have only tried the sushi specials.
Their sushi chefs all look incredibly young and yet work with amazing maturity. They are fast and perfectionists at the same time. Their dishes are plated beautifully using a variety of fresh ingredients and multicolored sauces on white plates.
Lunch and dinner are equally excellent. The sushi lunch box is a lovely lunch with a fresh salad of lovely seasonal greens, excluding the typical iceberg lettuce of many sushi restaurants. The rice they use is nice, less glutinous than the sushi rice of most places.
The one thing I would caution is that it is very easy for me to let my ordering get away from me and I end up with the much larger bill than I was anticipating. The specials can be quite expensive and unless you ask, they don't mention the prices when reviewing them. The drinks can also be expensive but on the plus side they are always high quality and well made.

“Great Food! Great Atmosphere!”

This place is great. The food is fabulous and the drinks are well made! Also the location is within walking distance from everything downtown with parking right across the street.

“Go to sushi spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Feng food is consistently great. Their sushi is the best in the Farmington Valley, fresh and served with style. Their fish entrees, curry dishes and pad thai are also standard go to dishes for us. The Feng Chef Role is a favorite! Service is usually excellent but can be hit or miss. The restaurant is getting a little tired looking (bathrooms need an overhaul or at least a good cleaning) and could use some sprucing up. Their lunch specials are hard to beat for value and yumminess. This is one of our favorite restaurants.Whether you are looking for a quiet evening for two or a family meal out or a gathering with friends, you will be pleased.

“Delicious Asian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We visit here often. Sometimes we go with a group for the hibachi and its always delicious. We like to get the Angry Dragon roll for an App it's sweet and savory, some sushi and if we are having an entree other than hibachi, I recommend the Short ribs over sweet potato gnocchi. It's a little salty admittedly, but it's really good.

“Fantastic experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

Went crazy, 7 saki, Kobi, sushi, miso, sashimi.
Tasted the saki platters, had 2 and everyone was special. Foamy, mild, strong, fruity, etc. This was the first true tasting if quality saki and I loved them all.
Kobi, thin slices, sauces for cooking or after; heated stone to cook on. Delicious. Sashimi was wonderful, although daughter has a hard time getting by the 'babies' (ginger marinated tiny squid). Miso perfect. Four sushi, spicey and tuna, salmon, California. Only the California wasn't fantastic. We eat ours traditionally, (no soy sauce) adding only ginger and wasabi so maybe that one needed soy to cut through the fat of the cream cheese? The others were delicate flavors that burst in your mouth.

Only problem is it isn't close to where I live, but in a wonderful shopping strip/square really, so you can make it a great day off fun.
