I went to The Lake with my husband and 3 kids--4,6 and 7. It took 70 minutes to get there from Greenwich.
The 2 oldest enjoyed the more thrilling rides while there was plenty to do for my 4 year old. The morning was very hot so the water rides were perfect and cooling. At around 4pm there was a thunderstorm and the weather cooled considerably. We got showered, changed, then enjoyed the dry rides. Once again, there were plenty of thrill for my older kids and a large enjoyable area of rides for the little ones. I have never stayed at a park before from open to close.
Highlights for me: The circus act was amazing--Cirque du Soleil style.
Free drinks: Help- yourself soda dispensers throughout the park including Pepsi, Mtn Dew, Siera, Rt Beer, WATER, seltzer, and ice... WOW!
The food was a little pricey, but good and we did stop at McD's on the way in and out of the park- right near the entrance.
We ate Pizza in the park for $3+ per slice.
The log ride as mentioned in other reviews was thrilling and beautiful.
During the rain, we were on the train returning from the river ride and really took some time to enjoy the magnificent property--if the weather didn't deteriorate, I would probably not have had the chance to look.
We bought our tickets at Costco for a big savings.
Finally, this is a family friendly park with a great variety of rides to keep the family smiling. I hope to return this season.
