“Great place to go with a group”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

The food is great and the chowder is great, but the best thing is the bread. I could eat that all night.

“Chowder Pots”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

The food is not what it use to be. The qaulity, taste has not been good within the past year. This was an excellent place to eat. Not sure what happened. Otherwise, the service is very good.

“We all enjoyed the "Chowda"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

It was a beautiful autumn day in Branford and we wanted to sit on the patio. Luckily we learned the entire restaurant is smoke-free ~ even the patio!! Score one.... Unfortunately we were bombarded by bees and the waitress and hostesses were gracious enough to move us inside without any problems. We were a party of 4 and we each started out with a cup of New England Clam Chowder. YUMMY! We all would highly recommend it. We all had something different: shrimp and chicken stir-fry, fried oyster po' boy, salmon burger and a trio of seafood salads: tuna, shrimp and crab. Everyone walked away from our table very satisfied. The atmosphere was nice and clean -- an homage to the ocean with lots of nautical decorations. The service was friendly and fast and the restrooms were well maintained.

“Late lunch on a Monday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Three friends and I had dinner there mid afternoon on Monday. The service was fine, the atmosphere was nautical. We all had the lobster macaroni and cheese which came with salad or mixed vegetables. It arrived in a crock with large shells, nicely browned on top and very hot which we liked. Some would have preferred smaller pasta but I liked the large shells. The flavor was good. I think it was just cheddar cheese. However there was hardly any lobster in it so for that reason I would not recommend this dish. The others in my party had had this dish elsewhere and did not feel this was comparable. I had never ordered this dish in the past. .A couple of customers around us ordered fried fish/ seafood dishes that were huge and which they seemed to really enjoy.

“Great atmosphere, yummy seafood!”

Like entering 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea! Very nautical atmosphere, and the food can't be beat. Karaoke is a hoot!
