“Amazing place!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

I stayed for a full 10 days at The Puncak in August 2011 and it was the most amazing vacation ever. The place is just stunning and the service is excellent. Jean-Paul and Nori are the most wonderful hosts and are always very helpful. The prices are very reasonable, the hospitality and food are excellent and the rooms are extremely unique. I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially if you want the ultimate special vacation in paradise at an affordable price. A must!!!

Me and My Wife stayed at The Puncak for 3 nights. We booked for the hotel through AGODA. The owner Jean Paul and his wife Nory stay at the hotel and rightly called themselves our next door neighbours. The staff was excellent- Rully, Erna and Tria are all very friendly and are just around the corner eager to help. The location is absoultely amazing. A bit hard on the vehicles sometime to get there, but it all is secondary once on top of the hill looking out over the sea. The hotel is bound by infinity pools and great accessories. We found the entertainment features to be excellent, the room houses a TV, Satellite connection and a Home theater system. We stayed in the Big blue room which has a giant stone hung above the bed. Every morning we were served a huge breakfast, actually huge, which was served at our own porch looking out over the ocean, very relaxing. We need to order a taxi to go to town which costs around 15k rupiah about 1.5 dollars. We took a hotel organised trip to the Senaru waterfalls which was the best place we went to in Indonesia. The hotel provided us with a cool box for our trip. Overall the hotel was awesome, with a view of the Lombok Strait, which for me as a seafarer, is of importance as it the route to Australia for ships bound from Singapore. We could actually see Mount Agung of BALI from our room. Thanks for making our stay at Lombok a pleasurable one.

We had a lovely stay at The Puncak for a too-short weekend away from Jakarta. We had found the hotel from this site, and booked through the owners who were supremely helpful and friendly during the stay. The location is one of the selling points- on top of a hill looking out over the sea in a quiet area- as is the actual hotel which includes infinity pools, water features and luxurious rooms. A unique fetaure of the rooms is a giant piece if laporodite that is hung above the bed and is really beautiful to look at. Every morning we were served a huge breakfast which we could enjoy from the porch of our room, looking out over the ocean, very relaxing. The only downfall was that the Puncak is some distance from the centre of Sengiggi town, which is where you need to go to get lunch/dinner. You need to order a taxi (which the staff will do for you) or do like we did and hire a motorbike to get around on for ease of transport. Otherwise, the service was fantastic, the rooms were very comfortable, the view is priceless, the breakfast was fab, and it is also very good value for money for the quality you receive. Recommended!

Room Tip: The first room, the Big Blue, probaby has best views, as it is unobstructed from any vegetation. the...

Dear guests,

Thank you so much for your edifying comments.
Our staff, Nury and myself are very proud to give you the good feelings and vibes that you are looking for during a holiday stay and we will always hard working to make from your stay in The Puncak that special remember making the difference ...
The Puncak is situated on top of the Hill , at 200 m above sea level, that makes the place so unique, but in the same time close to all possible activities, and only 5 minutes from Senggigi village & the beaches - the special location of The Puncak is a perfect compromise between being getaway and close to all activities (day trip departures, water sports, night cafes, ... )
According to many of our guests The Puncak has an exquisite kitchen and thus there is no need to dinner every night outside. Taxis are easy available and will drive you right down to fish restaurants, Indonesian, Italian, Indian or international restaurants, all in only a few minutes time. Of course if you just prefer a short walk, look for a place inside the village, but the spot will probably be not the same anymore :-)

The Puncak is really in a class of its own and is certainly the most enjoyable hotel I have stayed at in the region.

First, the location is superb: atop a hill and overlooking the bay, every room has a breathtaking view of the bay 100 meters below.

Secondly, the hotel itself is truly beautiful. If you have the pleasure of arriving after sunset, you'll be greeted my a magnificently lit flight of stairs leading to a majestic reception. From that point, you'll be taken to exquisitely decorated rooms that perfectly unite modern life comforts and a local quiet ambiance.

And last, but mot least, the owner Jean-Paul is exceptionally friendly and helpful, He clearly enjoys running his perfect boutique hotel and spares no effort so that his guests enjoy a truly memorable stay.

We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Lombok.

Room Tip: All rooms are equally superb.

I travel with my hubby to Lombok, and decided to stay at this hotel because of the excellent review from the TA reviewers. We booked directly to Jean Paul and Nury the owners of this hotel by sending them email to thepuncaklombok@gmail.com.

The hotel located on a hill, has the best view of Sunset. Yet it is only 10 minutes away by taxi to Senggigi central, where we can find good cafe and resto; The Square for International and Indonesian dishes, Happy Cafe for its dragon roll and also the live music or Alberto resto for the Italian Pizza. We can ask the hotel staff to book Blue Bird Taxi for us. We may have to pay minimum taxi fare as we booked it by phone, if I'm not mistaken, it's about IDR 25,000.

The hotel has only 5 rooms, so it's very quiet at the hotel. The room has a king koil bed, king koil pillows, nice bathroom, and also very nice smell. All the rooms are ocean view room, which we can enjoy the view from our bed!

Jean Paul, Nury and all the staffs were really helpful and friendly. We checked out at 3.30 am for our early flight, and Jean Paul woke up just to say goodbye to us.

We rented a car, and the hotel has a parking place for our car. I might not suggest renting a motorcycle as we have to pass the hilly road.

From Bandara Internasional Lombok ('BIL'), the hotel is about 75 minutes drive by car. We can go to Senggigi by airport bus (IDR 25,000 per person), than continue taking taxi to this hotel once we arrive at the bus stop. Or directly take taxi which cost IDR 175,000. For those who prefer private car, the rate from BIL to the hotel is about IDR 300,000 one way.

If you would like to go to Gili Trawangan from The Puncak, the Bangasal (the harbour) is about 45 minutes until 1 hour drive by car, than we can continue taking public boat to Gili Trawangan (IDR 10,000 per person).

I have made a full review of this hotel in our food and travel blog www.tesyasblog.com with the link: http://www.tesyasblog.com/2011/11/puncak-lombok.html We will also upload our Lombok travel experience on our blog.

Room Tip: Book room 4 or 5, it has better view.
