This hotel is up on "Stony Hill", almost on the Danbury border where hotels are almost twice the cost! This is one of the area's newest hotels, built in the late 90s I believe. The other hotels adjacent have been around for some time, but have been renovated, renamed, etc...
Check-In - fine, staff was nice...
The Room - Yes, micro-sized, but large enough. Wifi worked great, "closet" had an ironing board and iron which was a definite help. Water pressure in the shower was great, water nice and hot-no complaints.
The bed - the highlight. Not sure if it's a real pillow-top mattress, or just a mattress with an extremely comfortable cover, but I had a better night's sleep here than I do at home. Mattress was firm, yet soft and pillowy if that makes sense. Clock radio a plus! You'd think you'd hear noise out in the hall ways, outside, etc., but I heard nothing and my baby never woke up in the middle of the night, so that's a good sign! Felt safe in the area, too...
The breakfast was a pleasant surprise as well - loaded with cereals, danish, fruit, juices, etc. Seemed to be a big hit with all who stayed there! For staying on a Monday, there were rooms available when we booked on Saturday, but it was filled to capacity that night! I'm sure they get many repeat visitors. Other little thing I liked was the soda/snack machines - they have them stocked with ice cream, frozen pizzas, hamburgers you can nuke, etc. How cool is that if you have a late night craving and need instant gratification! A pool would have been nice, but besides that, this place has everything you need at such a reasonable price for the Danbury area. Highly recommend!
