The Vintage is a little dated but outside of that it was an excellent choice for our family and our budget. The staff was always smiling and very accommodating. The location is great! I would suggest that you rent and store your skis at the base of the mountain because you have to walk a little over a city block thru the village to the Zepher lift. It is not a bad walk at all as long as you are not lugging ski equipment. The walk thru the village is nice the street is heated and always dry and easy to walk on. The price and location is awesome!!! The hot tub is huge! The bar is ok and the pizza in the restaurant was really good.

The only negative that I would say is that they do allow pets which is cool but what I thought was rude and gross was that the owners would allow their dogs to urinate right outside the entrance to the hotel. I would suggest that they rope that are off.

We will return here next year for sure.

We just returned from Winter Park and greatly enjoyed our 4 day stay at The Vintage Hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our visit nice. We stayed in a studio unit with 2 queen beds, a fireplace, and a kitchenette. The price was very reasonable. Everything was extremely clean but the carpet and wallpaper were outdated. The mattresses and linens were all new. There was a gas fireplace with ceramic logs that worked great. Kitchenette was fully furnished with anything you would need. There were huge lockers on the 1st floor to store your skis, poles, snowboards, and boots at no additional cost. The staff had hot apple cider prepared everyday in the lobby at 4 p.m. when the lifts closed. Our kids enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub on the 2nd floor. You get on The Village Cabriolet in the parking lot at The Vintage Hotel to ride over to the shops, restaurants, and slopes at Winter Park so you really don't even need a car to get around after you arrive. The skiing at Winter Park was amazing...tons of trails for every level of skier or boarder. We had lots of snow during our visit. We would highly recommend The Vintage Hotel and Winter Park Ski Resort to anyone and everyone! Great place to stay!!! Great place to ski!!!

We just came from Vail Cascade and kind of expected something similar. Turned out that it was not even closed. The staff is cut down to 2 women who do front desk, maintenance and bellman at the same time. So basically service does not exist. Restaurant is fast food and pricey for that. WIFI is very spotty ( they have the hubs in some rooms...depends on your location ), Bathroom outdated...TVs are tubes and poor picture. Sauna is nasty ( stained plywood which is peeling off and mostly black/brown ). Worst thing is that they have wooden fireplaces but the fire alarm system is 20 years old and degraded. We had a false alarm and the fire chief stated that they need replacement. Follow up with the manufacturer confirmed the findings. The building - as most of Winter Park - looks actually nice from the outside and has a lot of potential with the tubing run and the gondola ( "carriage" ) that connects the hotel with the village. But avoid hotel until issues are resolved. Except for the safety issue it would be ok if you just need a place to sleep and ski all day..may be ok for pet owners as well..saw a lot of pets in the hotel..

I am returning to the Vintage Reort in a couple of weeks. Like my last visit, I will be staying in a Deluxe Studio with the Fireplace. I read a previsou visitor's review about the "lack of Firewood" and hope that this is not "really" how it is now, as in my previous stay's not only did they stack wood in there for me, but also were willing to come actually light the fire for me. As for the staff, I have always found them very attentive and helpful. They seemed to go out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. This time I will be traveling with my new puppy, and they seemed to be very happy to accomodate the pet for me.
