“Obviously a labor of love”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We found this little shop as one of the only places open during "mud season" in Winter Park, but we will certainly be back. Delicious meal that was carefully crafted and perfectly portioned. Owner Jodi was a great hostess, she made us feel like a local (and it is obvious this is where the locals eat!) We were delighted with our meal, and will certainly come back during ski season as this has to be one of the best bangs for our buck we could possibly hope for. I recommend the bisque if you need a suggestion, but they will happily give you a sample. Jodi even surprised us with homemade cookies for free as we left because she "had to share them since they were straight out of the oven"

“Come here for the best soup you have ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

What an unexpected gem this restaurant turned out to be. We chose it as we were leaving the resort as a last grab ...we weren't expecting much, and bot were we wrong! The soups were delicious (can't decide? Ask for a taste). The service was friendly and fast and the atmosphere was just what we had been craving (homey but clean and welcoming). I wish we had come across this gem earlier in our visit. We could have had all our meals here. Easily the best bargain, best food , and best restaurant on the hill. Thank back bowl. Can't wait till next year!

“Not a great experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

Asked the staff which they'd recommend, from two soups on the menu. Person taking the order says he has never tasted them... so he asks another employee... she's never tasted them either. Not very helpful. Service was quick. Soup I chose was rather spicy. Would have been good to know when inquiring for a recommendation. Nothing given with soup, no bread and no crackers. Price was acceptable for a ski area meal. Watching interaction between two employees behind the counter while having our meal with our young son. Saw the female flip off the male staff member in jest. Not appropriate behavior in a restaurant in view of kids. I would HIGHLY suggest trying the crepe restaurant a few doors down.... much better food and service.

“Excellent homemade soups!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2013

Perfect way to warm up when spending the day on the snow. Each day the variety of soups changed. Every bowl we had was from scratch and delicious. Excellent breakfast as well. This was one of our favorite places to warm up and fill our bellies!

“Great home made food. Relaxed”

Great home made soup, and variety of food selections. All home made, and great place to warm up after snowboarding.
