“Very Nice Late Lunch.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

We have dined here on several occasions and have always had a very nice experience. Today was no exception. We started out with the Steamed PEI Mussels with garlic, red chili, tomato, white wine and bread crumbs. The mussels were perfect and the flavor was very nice. My wife had the Potato Gnocchi with Duck, Spinach, tomato, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella in a truffled Madeira sauce. The duck was very tender and tasty. Wonderful dish. I had the Capellini with Bay Shrimp–Fresh tomato, cream, jalapeno, scallions. This dish had a very nice kick to it due to the jalapeno's. It would have been over the top had they used jumbo shrimp. Otherwise a very good dish. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert. Maybe next time.

“Great flavors and not your usual Italian restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

We went on a busy night. The service suffered a bit due to that, mainly shown as slow or delayed service. Aside from that, the food had great flavor and there was plenty of variety. Our appetizers including the antipasto plate were excellent. We had a variety of mains including standard spaghetti and meatballs, pasta and chicken, and a large salad. The sauces were well seasoned and not excessively. The meats were well prepared and integral to the dishes. Aside from slowness of service, the servers were quite helpful and doing as good a job as possible given the rush of business. We frequent the area to visit family and will definitely be back.

“2nd Try - same result”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

My husband and I had not been to this restaurant since right after it opened several years ago. At that time there was little ambiance, mediocre service and pretty poor food. The restaurant is still open so we assumed they had gotten it together and so we tried it again last night. They were very busy - the staff was a bit too harried especially the manager. We each ordered a glass of wine which arrived in a timely fashion. Then we ordered salads and entrees and waited and waited and finally after 30 minutes the server let us know there was a mix up in the kitchen and our salads would be out as soon as possible. She came back multiple times with the same apology and promise. (Enough already!) 15 minutes later (45 minutes from our arrival) our salads finally showed up. They were very good. Right after we'd finished them, our meals came and they also were very good. After our bill had been delievered the manager finally showed up at our table and apologized for any inconvenience with no mention of compensation, in fact, when we questioned the price of our wine, (the menu said $7 the bill $8) he was pretty indifferent. ( we paid $8) This restaurant is close to our home and we dine out 3-4 nights a week. It doesn't much matter how good the food is when the service is unwelcoming.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

The wait staff made us feel very well taken care of. The Potato Gnocchi with Duck was extremely tasty. We will certainly return. Hint: this is place does not cater well to children.

“The Worst Ever”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

I recently went to the restaurant with my boyfriend for a pre Valentines Day dinner to avoid the crowds. We had been here before and loved it, but something has gone bad. Our server, who we found out later was the manager that night, was polite but didn't seem to know what was going on with the restaurant. We ordered our meals and over and hour later recieved them. We would of walked out, but coming from the restaurant industry didn't. The potato and duck gnocchi was not very good at all. The duck was burt, had no flavor, and the dish was cold. The steak was not cooked at all to the tempurature ordered. We wanted to get going so we set our card on the table end, and waited for over twenty minutes. While the wait my boyfriend stepped outside for a smoke where he then saw all of the kitchen staff. When he came back in still no one came over to help us. So he took his card to find our server so we could just pay and leave. The only thing that saved this experience is that server covered our dinner. As that was nice and all I do not wish to visit here again.
