“Love it!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2009

My husband and I stayed in a village view room on the 4th floor which was really awesome. The room was huge and had lots of windows since it was in the turret part of the hotel. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They had a really nice bathroom too, which had a double shower.

The lobby of the hotel was very cozy with a big fireplace. The staff and service at the hotel was excellent. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The free breakfast every morning was pretty good to get you energized for a day of skiing.

We loved the Tivoli. The staff was very nice and cared a lot about the property. Although I didn't love carrying my skis to the Vista Bahn (only a 3 minute walk), I did love skiing almost up the property door at the end of the day and having my ski equipment stored and the boots warmed and dried at the end of the day. The hot tubs had a lovely view of the mountain. We had a village view room which was very nice. The breakfast was just right and the lobby is very comfortable. On the night of the Miller Lite party in Vail Village, we were quite pleased not to be staying at the Lodge or Pepi's, but just slightly down the road away from all the noise.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Tivoli. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and polite. We would definitely stay here again. However, if we were going to bring our children, we would probably wait until they were much older since the clientele seems much more mature than in other hotels.

Just back from a last minute weekend getaway to the Tivoli. We booked the room with Kim. the manager. We were staying in 216 which is a king room with mtn view. . The room was spacious and comfortable, especially the bed. The wet bar with mini fridge and coffee maker was convenient. The bathroom has separate tub and shower, plenty of room to stow toiletries and handy fan/heat controls. This room is right across from stairs that lead down one flight to the ski storage room which we loved. Once you get your boots on just take your skis out the door and it is a 5 minute walk across a road and up a little hill to the Golden Peak area. At the end of the day we literally "skiied in" as there was enough snow to allow us to ski down and across the road right to the side door of the hotel. It is a bit long to walk to the Vista Bahn but a very quick walk to the shops/restaurants in Vail Village. We had late night pizza @ Vendetta's: cheap and great! Our 2nd night we took the in town bus to Lions Head and had dinner @ Centre V which we enjoyed. The bus stops in both directions are very convenient to the hotel.
Staff @ this hotel were all excellent. Front desk personnel are friendly and helpful. We arrived late friday night and Carlos valet parked our car, took all of our stuff to our room and stowed our skis in the ski locker. The ski valets fellows were super. They took our ski gear to the front of the hotel, brought the car round and helped us load up when we left. Elise and Kyle @ the front desk were also very nice. The bar -tender makes a good spiked hot cider. In the afternoon the hot cider(not "spiked!") was out along with coffee/tea. I believe they are available all day. When we left we took coffee to go and some cookies and Elise gave us some fruit for the ride as well.
Breakfast is excellent. There were cooked eggs and bacon, oatmeal, fresh fruit and juices, bread for toast, waffle maker to do yourself and of course, coffee, etc. The lobby, breakfast area, bar is very attractive with plenty of comfortable tables/chairs and other seating areas. The two hot tubs are just out the door-there are robes to use in the room and towels available @ the front desk. I found the rubber slippers they give you in the ski storage room to be very handy for the walk out to the hot tub.
We have stayed @ quite a few properties in Vail Village and this is our new favorite. We will definitely return.

My and my wife recently chose the Tivoli Lodge as the hotel for our honeymoon. July was an excellent time, because the prices were fair and the privacy was invaluable. we basically had the whole place to ourselves... and the amenities and staff were excellent> the room was cleaned everyday, and everything from the bathroom to the bed was kept immaculately and was very cozy. We would highly recommend it to any and all.

We LOVE the Tivoli! We were married in Vail in December, 2007 and were lucky enough to stay in the Seibert Suite at the Tivoli Lodge for our wedding weekend. WOW! The views are spectacular and it was a perfect place to stay! That Suite has got to be one of the most special in the entire Village! You can see the whole mountain, as well as spectacular views of the Gore Range. It was perfectly wonderful for my husband and I. It was also a perfect place prior to the wedding for all of the ladies to get ready all together. Every member of the Tivoli Staff went out of their way for all of us, including our famlies and all of our guests who stayed there. It was very close to the village for shopping and the slopes for skiing. Everyone was so happy, and really taken by the beauty of the lodge and the accommodations.

Beds, pillows and sheets are so comfortable and towels are REALLY soft. They even delivered extra towels to us the morning of the wedding in case we needed some more while we were getting ready! The duvets and curtains are so elegant.

The beautiful lobby provided the most amazing backdrop for our "formal" wedding pictures. What a wonderful keepsake of not just the wedding, but of our stay there! Truly, the lobby is just amazing. Not too glitzy, and very elegant. It feels just as a classy mountain lodge should! ...and the huge stone fireplace is absolutely LOVELY!

The free wireless internet access allowed us to keep in touch with those who couldn't attend the wedding, or who were snowed in in Denver and couldn't make it up for the wedding. It was also a great tool for checking out the weather and the skiing conditions. It was also a wonderful way for us to communicate and post pictures from the wedding immediately. We were even able to show our guests the slideshow from our wedding the next morning in the lobby since our wonderful photographer had posted a slideshow that was available immediately! We all ate breakfast together and watched the pictures from the wedding.

Speaking of which, it was really great to get together every morning and see everyone in the lobby during their fantastic breakfasts, and also in the evening for a little Apres. They even kept the bar and Brown Hound Lounge area open a little longer for us following our reception so that we could keep the conversations going over cocktails and quiet music. We really appreciated that. It was perfect. We were also able to just "camp out" in the lobby the next day as each of our guests checked out of the hotel. It was the perfect place to say our thank you's and goodbyes.

After seeing our guests off, we stayed another day and skied! The staff was SO helpful, especially Deso (spelling?) and everyone at the front desk and in the ski valet area! They also provide you with a "grooming report" from the mountain every morning, which is a really nice perk! If you have the chance, make sure to take time to meet the owners of the lodge, Bob & Dianne Lazier. They are just about the nicest people you would ever want to know, and you can see them, and their family, frequently in the lobby. In addition, Ed, the manager, took very good care of our entire wedding party and guests, We couldn't have been happier!

We will always stay at the Tivoli when in Vail, and we highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the "New" Vail with the "Original" Vail feeling and hospitality. I will never feel that Vail is "snobby" (as another poster has reported), and I can honestly say that The Tivoli Lodge helps to solidify these feelings!

We feel so fortunate to have been married in Vail, and the Tivoli made it even more special for us. The Tivoli Lodge holds a very special place in our hearts.

My husband and I have stayed at the Tivoli for 31 years. We actually spent our honeymoon at the old lodge. For the last two years we have stayed at the new lodge. We think that the new lodge is overpriced and lacks charm. The bathrooms are small. The room temperatures are hot. We stayed in August. We were promised a refrigerator and didn't get one. Housekeeping finally got us one the next day. The rooms aren't anything to write home about. Little artwork. No pool. Staff that is mostly not very friendly. We are staying at another hotel this year for our summer getaway.
