“Best place to stay in Vail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2014

It deserves the Tripadvisor rating it has for the Vail area. Comfortable, spacious rooms and the location is fantastic. The availability of a great breakfast is a big plus. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Decided to stay "in village" on my return to Vail. Chose the Tivoli based on the recommendations on Trip Advisor and Conde Nast - glad I did! Very friendly staff, nice fit-up in the rooms, great location near Gondola 1 and Riva Bahn lifts, and no worries about parking. Good value for Vail village and proximity to lifts. Would definitely return and highly recommend.

Room Tip: Not a room tip, but there are great Latte's at Loaded Joe's 5 minutes walk from the Tivoli L...

We hadn't been to Vail in a long time and wanted to be close to town. I booked this hotel because of other reviewers so glad I did. Close to town close to ski lifts which are all nice but what is even better about this place is how comfortable you feel. The room is very comfortable, the bathroom is roomy the little kitchenette is so convenient to have and it was all very clean and up to date. The ski valet, as all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The lobby is a comfy place to have an after dinner drink and play a game or read. It's like being at a B&B but with the amenities of a hotel. We highly recommend this hotel

We had a wonderful 3 night stay off-season in October, when fall foliage was at its peak.

1. Room -- Stayed in the Seibert Suite, which was awesome. Huge room and bath, huge living room and kitchen with pull-out couch. We have two small kids, and this setup was ideal. Beautiful views of the mountain.

2. Location -- Great. Short walk to everything in Vail Village. We wish the gondolas had been open, as they were close by.

3. Amenities -- Continental breakfast is nice. Laundry facilities were key for us. On-site parking was very convenient.

4. Value -- Tremendous value off season, about 75% off high-season rates. All of the restaurants in Vail had great deals (buy one entree, get one free, etc), including fantastic spots like the Larkspur. We wish we'd gone a week or two earlier to catch the gondolas, but had a wonderful trip for a very reasonable price.

We'd be happy to stay here again.

The previous reviews on tripadvisor led us to this hotel and the reviews weren't wrong! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel very welcome, it feels instantly like a home from home but with bigger beds and fabulous soaking bath tubs!
The breakfasts are epic, must give a big shout out to Magdalena for her cheerfulness and wonderful morning eggs, omelettes and waffles! They say you should eat breakfast like a king and we certainly did that here, so much choice so you could try a little bit of everything, the Bananas with whisky & brown sugar with my oatmeal every morning were amazing, as was the always plentiful fruit platter...I could go on and on but Im getting hungry just thinking about those breakfasts...and then there was the daily morning entertainment that was "Speedy" the resident Chocolate Lab, he would bring himself down in the lift each morning and take himself out for a roll in the snow much to ours and all the other residents amusement, a real star!
The rooms were large, comfortable and always warm and cosy, and even though we had village view rooms we still had lovely views out to the snowy hills on the other side of the village.
The ski valet guys were great, so nice to have dry boots in the morning and just hand our skis/boots over at the end of each day and be presented with our slippers without having even to give our room number, thanks Topher!
Its in the perfect location, ski bus stop outside if you need it but only 5 minutes walk to the Gondola and the village, about the same to Golden Peak lifts and we were lucky there was so much snow we could ski to door, and straight into the lounge for hot chocolate & cookies every afternoon!
So thanks to all the team at Tivoli especially Speedy, Magdalena, Melayni, Alan, Topher, and all the reception crew especially Samantha for all her help!
We'll be back!

Room Tip: Would avoid ground floor rooms near the ski valet if you like a morning lie in!

My husband, son and I spent four beautiful nights at the Tivoli last week. The staff made us feel welcomed in every way. And we loved keeping an eye out for Speedy, a very happy lab who cruises around like he owns the place. Our room was elegant -- a big bathroom, mini kitchen, a little balcony with a terrific view of the ski runs, and fluffy robes to scurry down to the hot tubs after our hard days of skiing. The lobby has all the comforts you might want, cookies in the afternoon and fresh hot coffee and newspapers at 5 in the morning for us East coasters. And we indulged in the delicious hotel breakfasts every morning. I was also very grateful for the first-rate tips on restaurants that the hotel manager gave me when I booked the room. The hotel provides a fabulous getaway and I will long remember our stay.

I have stayed here several times. It is like home away from home. Fantastic lodge with a great and friendly staff. Breakfast Buffet offers many tasty selections. Great views with a very short distance to Vail Village Gondola. Almost ski in, ski out when snow is on path. Will always be my place of choice.

Room Tip: Tower rooms very nice for couples
