“Best place to stay...for serious skier's!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Bee to Vail many times and have stayed in both the Village and Lionshead, this was my first stay at MV and I will definitely stay here again. Location is key. The lodge is just steps from the Riva express lift that provides quick access to the summit and the backside of the mountain. Unlike the Village and Lionshead gondola's, there are no long waits here. You can hit the mountain quickly and start getting your turns in...even quicker. There isn't as much traffic coming down the mountain at the end of the day, either. Believe me, I've seen plenty of late day accidents on Vail mountain, the less traffic, the better.

I stayed in a large room with kitchen, patio w/Weber grill, fireplace, 1 king bed, a fold-out and a couch that could fold out also. The room was clean and comfortable. The property was secure and they even provide for an outdoor locker for ski's and snowboard. I had no problems with the room. They do charge a $20/day resort fee but MV provides guests with a breakfast buffet everyday. Not a continental breakfast either. They have both hot and cold foods and will even make you an omelet. I thought that this was a real bargain, esp. If there are multiple people in your group. I recall the breakfast buffet at the Marriott costing over $20/person.

I can't comment much on the MV's restaurants/lounge because I didn't eat there. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only complaint that I would have is that they were very, very, very, slow in getting a room ready on the day of my arrival. I arrived at 11:00 AM and didn't get to my room until after 5:00 PM. I don't believe that the property was booked solid either. I think that this could be improved. Overall, that was the only problem but I enjoyed the skiing so much that I forgot about it quickly. I'd definitely stat here again and probably will!!

Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay here at Manor Vail. We agree that our location is definitely a great place for getting to and from the mountains with less traffic than anywhere else on the mountain. We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused during check-in. Because there is great demand for our units, we do our very best to get make sure we meet our departing guests needs and have the condo ready for the needs of our arriving guests later that day! However, we will most certainly take your feedback into account. Thank you again for your review and we are so happy to hear that the skiing during your stay was incredible. We look forward to seeing you again next season!

Stayed in a one bedroom condo for 5 nights over Christmas with our teenagers. It was our first time in Vail and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The unit was spacious and clean with plenty of storage space, a large balcony and a beautiful view of the lifts, mountains and pool. There was even a BBQ on the balcony and all the comforts of home if you choose to stay in at night. You need a car if you are going to grocery shop but they offer paid parking. The free internet was a nice touch. The location of the property is truly amazing, a short walk to the lifts, gondola, shops and restaurants giving you easy access to the hustle and bustle of Vail Village while at the same time offering some peace and quiet. You could also walk to Lionshead or take the free shuttle bus. There are no laundry facilities in the units but those are available on the main floor throughout the building. The Lord Gore restaurant was nice but the village offers so many other options worth trying within walking distance. We loved the 10th up on the mountain, as well as Terra Bistro down the road, Sweet Basil, La tour and Mountain Standard for apres.
We loved our stay and will definitely consider staying here again!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a view of the mountain/lifts. we prefer a higher floor with a balcony.

Manor Vail offers 1, 2 or 3 bedroom units. Our family stays at Manor Vail every weekend during ski season and we appreciate the value but even more so the accommodations and the service. Theresa, the head of operations for the hotel is extremely professional and truly cares about exceeding her client's expectation. The units are privately owned so they vary in decor but we have never been disappointed with our rentals. It is like our home away from home. The property is made for families. We love staying there and we always look forward to going back and seeing our friends there.

Room Tip: Ask whether the room is silver, gold or platinum. And if you want the easiest access to the mountai...

Year three of our annual girls trip staying at the Manor Vail and again perfection. Manor Vail is perfectly located to facilitate great skiing, vail village nightlife, top notch accommodations, dining and shopping. Walk out the door to the lift, a five min. walk into town for great dining and apres. Bus stop to Lions Head, etc. Manor Vail's staff pulled all stops in an effort to make our trips memorable. Book early!

My only request. Open up the piano bar! Why have a beautiful piano bar and have it roped off?
Would make for a great apres spot.

Room Tip: Book early!

Our group of 7 stayed in a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, ground floor, mountainside unit in February. We could not have been happier with our choice of holiday accommodation. From the moment we arrived, after a 30 hour trip, the staff at the Manor Vail Lodge were helpful and gracious. We enjoyed a few drinks and a light supper in the Fitz Lounge on our first night and a hot chocolate and cookie from the lobby each afternoon. A great touch! Breakfast each morning in the Conference Room was extensive and enjoyable! It was an interesting introduction to an American breakfast for us, but also included Continental breakfast options as well. And the service here was great too!
Not having stayed at Vail before, we were concerned that the Manor Vail Lodge would be a little out of the way, especially walking into Vail for dinner on cold nights. We need not have worried. Vail village is in easy and enjoyable walking distance and the free village bus shuttle to Vail and Lionshead stops right outside. It is also perfectly located for the ski slopes, the Golden Peak ski lifts being just adjacent to the Manor Vail.
Our unit itself was beautifully and tastefully appointed. We had a fully equipped kitchen, large comfortable lounges and modern TV and entertainment unit. We could watch the Burton US Open from our loungeroom and balcony!
The only negative aspect of our stay here was there was, at times, quite a bit of noise coming from the car park outside our unit at night from children on vacation.
Thank you for a fantastic holiday Manor Vail Lodge!

i have to give a BIG shout out to Lori Salomone & Tami Cox! i arrived to Manor Vail early Saturday am with my two boys to check out the Burton US Open! needless to say i had way too many bags and had no idea where i was going. these ladies were saints and helped me with my bags & showed me to my room. later that day when i was in a diaper crisis, these ladies came through again! because there are no markets in the villages, they got me a driver to bring me to west vail to go to safeway to get some! i don't remember driver's name, but he was AWESOME too! you can imagine traveling with two boys, 3 years old and 6 months, that it can be challenging at times. everyone at Manor Vail, especially my ladies i mentioned above, were extremely helpful and made our 24 vacation absolutely awesome! thanks again girls! oh and btw, the room was awesome, the bed was so comfortable, the shower had the best pressure, the location is out of sight... the lifts are right there! and my boy and myself LOVED the cookies they serve! high fives all around!

I stayed this past week at Manor Vail with 3 of my friends for our annual guys ski trip.. Excellent value for Vail. Very short distance to slopes (across the street). The room was recently updated: one bedroom condo with king bed and a pull- down bed in the living room. The kitchen had granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Two flat screen TVs, a gas burning fireplace and a gas grill on balcony. Two humidifiers were included as well. All-in-all, a very nice place. A complimentary breakfast was provided as part of the room including omelet station, hash browns, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, coffee etc etc - great way to start off a hard day's work on the slopes! Only drawback (and a minor one at that) was the fee we had to pay to park our car rental. Will definitely stay here again.
