“Beautiful Resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

We stayed at the Marriott Streamside Evergreen building late October due to their fall discounted rates. The room was beautiful, clean and just like the pictures on the website. Both bedrooms and living room had flat screen TV’s. The beds were amazing. I was expecting a much older resort due to the previous reviews so I was surprised to find this resort very modern and updated. You will not be disappointed if you plan on staying in the Evergreen building. We can’t wait to go back!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the stream.

The good --- great staff, lots of towels, fine shuttle to town, lots of hangers. The bad --- terrible wifi; we gave up on our iPhones and iPads to get signals. My laptop worked 5 days; on the sixth I spent 20 minutes with IT who tried to change my laptop before they believed me that they had no signal to their router. The next day, same thing. This time IT told me I had to call AT&T and change my numbers! This laptop has been across the US and in Europe; never had a hotel tell me to call THEIR supplier. Permanent sign in exercise room that there was no cable to the monitors. In the rooms the cable feed had no guide channel. Appliances really cheap; we had to turn up the tv sound to drown out the dishwasher. Fireplace didn't work (after IT we didn't take a chance on an engineer). Lots of hot water in both bathrooms; water in the kitchen was lukewarm at 9:20 and 5:20 almost every day. Small box of Tide, tiny bottle of dish soap, world's cheapest paper towels, for a week timeshare stay. No salt, pepper, or sugar. If you want to be in contact with the outside world, better have 3G and 4G. Better yet, go somewhere else. We've been in great timeshares in Maui and Aspen. Try them.

Room Tip: Evergreen only; the others are apparently worse. Ask for middle floor and streamside; too high and...

I stayed at this resort in the Evergreen building for a week in late September. We came to see the foliage in the area as the leaves were just changing and had a wonderful week. The resort, however, is not like the Marriott resorts in Hawaii or other islands. It was clean and comfortable, but was a nice place to stay while you were off doing other exciting things like skiing in the winter season and hiking, tubing etc. in the summer. I would not go to Streamside as a destination, only as a place to stay while I was in Vail. The pool is small and was undergoing repairs during our stay. The best amenity at the resort was the shuttle that would take guests into Vail, Lionshead, etc. at anytime. We did not have to worry about parking when we used the shuttle service. The shuttle was quick to pick us up when we called for a ride back.

We spent 1 week in a 1 bedroom plus loft Villa. It was very nice and well stocked. It was right off I-70 with easy access to the highway. There were outdoor gas grills, indoor/outdoor pool and a few Hot Tubs throughout the Resort.

Every person we ran into who worked there was VERY pleasant and helpful. The only negative we experienced was the noisy work being done near the pool which made relaxing and reading at the pool impossible. Otherwise I would give this property 5 Stars.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1306. 3rd floor, 2 balconies and near the elevator. Very quiet, good views and wel...

Have never been to Vail and am not a skier. My niece picked this place for her graduation gift and chose the fall to go. The rooms were typical Marriott condos - 2 bedroom 2 bath, full kitchen, living room, washer/dryer. Clean, modern. Gas fireplace was nice when it got cooler towards the end of our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub at our building, but did not try the main pool area. The rooms were very nice, as expected for Marriott. We spend most of our time touring the area. The weather was great - upper 50s, two days of rain/snow, but sunny otherwise. The Aspen trees were bright yellow-orange with some red on the tips, we saw the area's first snow of the season on the mountain tops, we had some great hiking. We visited Glenwood Cavern Adventure park (1 hr away), Hot Sulphur Springs Resort & Spa (1.5 hrs away), took an ATV tour from Camp Hale (Nova Guides), did some hiking and "leaf peeping" - all AMAZING!!! It was a great week. Highly recommend this resort and the area - even if you are not a skier!

Room Tip: We had a mountain-view room, and it was great! But you certainly can't go wrong with a streamsid...

There are 3 condo buildings at this property. I can't speak for the Birch or Douglas buildings but our condo in the Evergreen building was nice. We had a spacious 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. Parking was easy in the garage under the building. Relaxing hot tub outside our building next to Gore Creek. My only complaint was the internet speed. We had to use the hotspots on our cell phones because the hotel's internet was way too slow.

We are here for a week. It is a very nice place. Very Clean and all our needs have been met. April is not the best time to come to Vail, but they did keep the slopes open because of the heavy snow the week before. We were able to take the gondola ride to the top of Vail MT. In real life, the slopes would have been closed the week before we got here. That means everything slows down and shuts down. The condo is very spacious and easy to get to. A little far from all the action, but they have a free shuttle bus to town. That is great. All in all it is a very nice place to stay.
