“Will not stay anywhere else in Vail Village, period.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Our 10 day stay at the Sebastian just didn't seem enough...our two bedroom-3 full bathrooms residence was impeccably appointed...and equipped to make you feel right at home. The conveniently located Base Camp provides you in Vail a close enough ski in/ski out experience. The restaurant Leonora, Market and lobby's Frost -bar- are top notch (great Margaritas by the way!!!). Our 5 year old daughter also loves the hotel because it is very kid friendly. I also enjoyed the recently revamped gym. All in all, a superb experience!!!

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were at home. Bryan from reception, Eric and Brendan, right through to Audrey and GM Lance made us feel so welcome.
That aside, it's a beautiful boutique property. It's located central to Vail village and a few minute walk to the village. This is truly a classy property that I couldn't recommend higher enough. Thanks to staff and management for making our stay so such a memorable one :-) 10/10

The hotel is very quaint and lovely. It is the perfect size, not very large and it feels very homey. The staff is so friendly and they greeted me every single time I walked into the lobby. I was always offered a beverage or absolutely anything in order to make my trip more enjoyable. I was here during Christmas with my family, and although they could definitely put out some more festive decorations, it was still very nice. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I can't wait to stay here again at a future date.

We had a very nice time. The hotel is beautiful and very well located. We where the with all the family and went skiing every day. The rooms are huge and you have everything you need. Kids love to get there and rest and be cozy and warm.
The went walking distance to ski school and they had tons of fun. Is really fun and I really recommend it.

Room Tip: If you try nice the people at ski school they will show you how to do more diferent tricks

Just got home from a FABULOUS stay at The Sebastian in Vail. We've skied numerous places in the US and in Europe and this was truly one of the best. The hotel is located in Vail Village which is beautiful, quaint, and filled with energy, wonderful restaurants and the nicest people anywhere. The hotel has what is the crowning jewel in Vail-BASE CAMP. Upon arrival at the hotel, our skis, boots, and poles were whisked away to Base camp, just feet away from Gondola 1. Every morning we would walk thru the village (approx 5-8 min) to Base Camp, where our skis, boots, and poles would be waiting for us. The employees working at base camp were probably the nicest, most knowledgeable, and friendliest group-collectively that we have ever come in contact with. Base Camp is an amazing convenience. Getting back to the hotel, it was wonderful. Kiki, the front desk manager was so welcoming and accommodating. Again, the staff would greet you and acknowledge you with a hello/how are you every time we saw someone. The bartender, Sam(?), was very friendly and outgoing. Spencer and Morgan at the Concierge desk were helpful. Pool area was good. Only minor disappointment was the size of the bathrooms. I feel for the caliber of the hotel, the bathrooms should be more luxurious. I would recommend everyone staying at the Sebastian, the only problem with that, means, it will be more difficult for us to get reservations next time.

Room Tip: We were fortunate and were upgraded after one night. I would ask for a pet free room if you do not...

This was the third year in a row that we stayed at The Sebastian Christmas week, and it was even better than ever! The staff makes you feel like you are part of a family when you return and makes staying there so pleasurable! Eric, the Manger of Rooms and Housekeeping is amazing, and is so attune to your every need! Lance, the GM, is always around greeting guests and making sure you are happy! Ivonne, at the Spa, is wonderful, and the Spa is perfect after a day of skiing. They expanded Base Camp and it is great how big it is and that now carry any necessities that you might have left behind. All the guys and girls up there are so helpful! Kiki and Michael at the front desk were especially helpful. We had a treat meeting Federiko from the Tuscanny Timbers resort, and he was a delight to talk to every day. And, the new Assistant GM, Robert was wonderful too! I can't go without mentioning Leonora, the awesome restaurant, with Executive Chef, Sergio Howland, where we had the BEST meal in all of Vail! What a treat to have a top end restaurant in The Sebastian! I forgot to mention the delightful breakfast daily that filled you up with such a diverse selection, and got you ready for a day of skiing!

The staff is so well trained, always with a smile on their faces, which makes you feel so welcome to be staying there at the Resort. We will definitely be returning! One more thing, it is such a pleasure to always have water bottles, cokes, apples and treats waiting for you after a day of skiing! They do not nickel and dime you with a mini bar like other hotels. Other hotels should learn from this model. We love The Sebastian! :-)

We were there over the winter break, 12/22 to 12/27 with family (8 of us altogether). From the time you arrive until your departure, the Sebastian staff really know how to take care of you. Our group agreed that they are among the most service oriented and friendly we have encountered in our travels.

First, we arrived early, but our room (residence 321) was ready to go. Bottled water offered to everyone, then the staff took our skis and boots to base camp (more about that later). We got a nice tour of the facilities and my wife went right to the spa to enjoy a massage. Had a fantastic dinner at the hotel restaurant that night, Lenora. Everyone from age 6 to 44 enjoyed it.

Residence 321 was large and luxurious 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Very comfortable unit for 8 people. Housekeeping cleaned up our kitchen and dining room each day.

Next morning we got a ride from the staff in the hotel shuttle to base camp. Base camp is near the gondola in vail village. Base camp staff just as friendly and helpful as those in the hotel, even offered to help put on your ski boots. After a great day of skiing at Vail (we had 3 powder days in a row), ski right down to base camp, where they store and dry your ski boots overnight. (If you have ski boot heaters, remove them from your boots and bring them back to your room to recharge overnight). A few of us had our skis waxed there overnight too. We would grab a complimentary bottled water from base camp and walk back to the Sebastian through the village (less than 10 minutes), or you can call for the shuttle. Our kids loved the heated pool and the adults loved the 4 hot tubs which were never crowded (unusual to have that many hot tubs). There was waitress service (and she was also very friendly and helpful), so we were able to order drinks from the bar right to our sears in the hot tub.

On day of departure, we skied all day, so had to check out in the morning. At the end of the day, base camp brought all our gear back to the hotel. We spent some time in the village, and by the time we got back to the hotel, the staff were already loading our skis into our ski bags. We all agreed there is nowhere else in Vail we would rather stay than the Sebastian.
