They Earn their Stars here. !st visit and I had a lot of questons about Vail. Rooms were very nicely appointed and they completely respected my my desires for odd-time privacy (73 years old, COPD with O2 and PM naps!.. and at this altitude..Whew!). Good suggestions for meals, info on the buses and sights, and even a little out-of-the-way night life. A Class Act! Would love to return.

This was our second vacation stay at "The Sebastian" in Vail. The staff are outstanding! They are so friendly and always trying to anticipate your needs. The hotel is beautiful and the entire property is well maintained. We stayed at the property for ten days in a one bedroom suite. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed was so comfortable, love the robes, turn down service, and all the other amenities (water, soda, coffee, fruit, snacks). The Bloom Spa is outstanding! The pool & hot tubs were very relaxing. Used the DVD service to watch movies. The location is wonderful...right in the heart of Vail. We had breakfast most days at The Market...yum! The staff gave us great restaurant recommendations and even made reservations for us. We are looking forward to our next trip to "The Sebastian".

We stayed here over Labor Day and were absolutely blown away. The property is gorgeous and spotless, and could not be more conveniently located in Vail Village. The staff were uniformly attentive, courteous, and genuine. Our only regret was that we did not bring our dog, as the hotel (and Vail in general) is very dog-friendly. We would stay here again in a second, and plan to do so in the future. You have to stay here!!!

Room Tip: If road noise bothers you, ask for a room that doesn't face the interstate. The road noise was...

We have stayed at all of the luxury hotels in Vail, however, since we discovered The Sebastian, we have not stayed anywhere else! The service, location, vibe, are all beyond expectation and collectively make for a memorable stay with my family. Can't wait to return for ski season!

This past August my boyfriend and I stayed at the Sebastian for four nights. It was everything we could have wanted in a hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and I was delighted the moment first saw our room. Although it was not overly large, it was sophisticated and comfortable. There was romantic music playing in the room when we arrived, which was a nice touch. I am extremely fussy regarding noise and bed comfort, so much so that I travel with a heavy tempurpedic mat. However, it was unnecessary on this trip because the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was so quiet that we slept wonderfully.

Throughout our vacation, the hotel staff was very helpful in finding activities that we would enjoy. They recommended hikes that were appropriate for us, and made reservations for us at a restaurant that we enjoyed immensely. I am a vegetarian and have very high standards regarding my food, and they recommended the perfect restaurant for us (Terra Bistro).

The location of the hotel could not have been better. Although it is situated on a main road, I did not find noise to be problematic at all. Directly behind the hotel you will find Vail Village, where there are shops and restaurants with fountains and flowers surrounded by the mountains. If we did not know better, we would have thought we were in Switzerland. Other activities in the mountains as well as dance and arts festivals were only a short drive away.

Breakfast at the hotel was very good, although I would recommend a short walk over to the Sonnenalp for an exquisite buffet and view. The pool area was relaxing, and although we did not make use of the spa on this trip, it looked appealing as well. I would definitely stay at the Sebastian another time, it was simply a great experience.

Room Tip: We had a room with 2 queen beds and it was sufficient space for 2 people.

We had a great time in Vail and the Sebastian was wonderful. We started out in a room the first night where the road noise was terrible so we switched rooms and it was a really good stay after that (I took out one star for the first day experience otherwise it would have been a five star)
The hotel is pricey but they don't nickel and dime once you check in. Big pluses:
- free fruit and snacks + non-alcoholic drinks in the room
- turn down service with water and cookies
- free internet
- free valet parking
- very good concierge desk
- bottled water on demand (concierge desk, check-in, etc)
- nice pool area with four hot tubs
- room service was very good and the breakfast omelettes were delicious

Changing the room took some doing as they were sold out but everyone was very helpful and we were very happy with the service.

Room Tip: Choose the Luxury Plaza rooms. A little more expensive compared to the Deluxe Plaza rooms but the ba...
