Vail has so many good restaurants, great food and service, but Sweet Basil has all: amazing food, great service, and the nicest atmosphere in the village.

“Absolutely Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

We ate here after one of the concerts at the Ford Amphitheater. We were a bit early for our reservation, but we were seated promptly at a great table on the balcony overlooking the main drag through Vail Village. It was great for people watching...but, on to the meal. Charlie was our waiter and more than outstanding. We need a 6th or 7th star to rate the service. His assistance with the menu and ordering was the best we have experienced. We ended with Crab Bisque (to die for), the pork and the Colorado lamb. The chocolate dessert was more than to die for. This was a great dining experience in all respects. We can't wait to return in a couple of weeks.

“Fresh and Innovative Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

Every trip to the Vail Valley includes a traditional stop at Sweet Basil. The food is always fresh, creative and well presented. The service is attentive. The view over the creek and trees is a true mountain experience. We've been there at least 20 times over the years and keep coming back.

“The Smash”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

The Smash is now my favorite of all drinks I've ever had. It is a non-alcoholic drink with fresh mint, fruit juices and some secrets. Ask for it!!! We enjoyed the fresh wild trout, over the top delicious !

“One of the best meals I've ever had”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2014

I'm a self proclaimed foodie who likes to try new things. We came here after a recommendation by our concierge. My husband and I are so grateful they suggest this place. The service and good was AMAZING!! The beef cheek was so tender there was no need for a knife. We'll be back during ski season and will make sure we go here at least a couple times it's just that good!
