We were recommended this and read reviews on TA before going and had 2nd thoughts due to bad reviews however decided we should try it as we had never been to a nobu restaurant before. Our two boys 11 and 9 also were interested in Japanese.
Things started fine and food and service was ok... A little on the light side so we ordered more dishes (specials recommended by our waitress).
Wine was seriously over priced (2 times more than other restaurants) and bottled water was ridiculous.
Anyway point being, our bill was nearly $500 for 4 of us (2 children). And what we were annoyed with was the specials they offer are between $80-$160 and the portions are so small AND you have to cook yourself on a hot rock. Rating of 1 due to not disclosing the special prices and the average food that would be no different from your local sushi bar.
Such a shame as in reflection it was obvious the waitress was pushing us for the specials which ultimately annoyed all of us.
Much better places in Vail at a 1/4 of the price. Should have been more aware as we has read similar reviews before going.
