I booked via Hotwire which advertised a four star resort in the Vail area for Labor Day weekend.
Price was $83.00. It turned out to be the Lodge.
Upon arrival, valet parking unless you want to walk several blocks with luggage.
Once in the room, we discovered no bed and all the doors locked leading to other rooms. Thought it was a sofa bed, found a pull down bed in the wall. Small room for sure.
Not what I expected for a four star resort. Thin matteress and paper thin pillows. No A/C in the room and it got hot. Had ti leave the soor open at night to be cooled These are condos that the owners rent out, not a hotel.
Here is the bad part. I was charged a $20.00 per night resort fee upon checkout. This was om top of my Hotwire final price. This is a rip-off in my opinion and should have been included in the Hotwire price as it stated all taxes in. Nevertheless, I would not recommend as the lodge is old, overpriced and without four star amenities.
