“Open terrain, amazing views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

The views from Blue Sky Basin are spectacular and so is the skiing. The runs are mostly blue and black with some terrific wide open and glade skiing. Two lifts service the area and lines are usually short or non-existent. Access is usually via China Bowl and a bit of a cat-track.

“Perfect areas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

Outstanding runs for all levels of skiers/boarders. something new on every run. These back bowls are what sets Vail apart from all other CO ski resorts, and it makes for a variety of runs whether you're going for one day or a full week!

“Amazing skiing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Best snow and great runs. Since it's harder to get to, you can go up and down so many more times without long lift lines.

“Great skiing”

I likes the tree skiing and views of the mountains in the distance. plenty of runs so that it did not get too crowded.

“Great bowl skiing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

If you ski Vail, you have to ski the Blue Sky basin. It gets the most snow, has lots of different terrain for both boarders and skiers. If you don't ski this bowl, you've missed the best part of Vail skiing
