“Fantastic stay at the Savory Inn”

Savory Inn and Cooking School

Stayed at the Savory Inn twice during February and March. The photos on their website looked fabulous and we were looking forward to our stay. I'm happy to say that the place more than lived up to expectations - the Inn really is as pretty as a postcard, and great value too. The staff were wonderful, the cooking school was great fun (and the food delicious!), the atmosphere was extremely welcoming and such a delight to come home to after a hard day's skiing. Although it's a couple of miles away from the slopes, the Inn provides a shuttle bus to and from skiing. You will have to make your own way back into Vail village for food at night whenever the cooking school is not operating though - although there is a bus service nearby you may not always feel like it at the end of the day. All in all though - no complaints - I would definitely come back!

We were here for our anniversary. We have visited several B&B's over the years. This is a first class place. The staff were anxious to please and the breakfasts were excellent.

We stayed at the Inn as part of a package with ----. Unfortunately we did not manage to schedule our visit when the cooking classes were offered - but the kitchen looked beautiful and the chef is a really nice guy and we hope to visit again to take a class or two. Every member of the staff was really friendly and helpful. Mike provided great direction in chosing fabulous dining and made us feel right at home. Mornings start with an absolutely fabulous breakfast. Homemade muffins and a different hot entree every day. Shuttle service to Vail are provided in the morning with scheduled pick-ups in the afternoon. We even rescheduled our pick-up for later in the day when the snow was just too good and they we very accommodating. Cookies every night by the fire. Yummy. Some after ski snacks after 4:30pm - wine available at the bar until 7pm. Really a nice break after skiing and before dining out. Best of all, after a day of skiing, a nice hot tub and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! (We are going to request info about the exact feather bed configuration so that we can duplicate it at home). Really a great place. A bit away from the center of Vail, but with the shuttle service and the local bus line, it's really not an issue. I bet a week of cooking classes and some planned hiking here in the summer would be just as fun. Hope to visit again soon.

I just returned from a 1 week stay in Vail and loved the Savory Inn. You will truly enjoy lovely accomodations with a very personable staff. Outstanding breakfasts from Chef David. They also host cooking classes and treat the guests to many wonderful appetizers! I can highly recommend a stay at this wonderful inn. It was a nice way to end each day of skiing!
