“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

The food at the Twin Lakes inn was fabulous! The new owners have done a wonderful job renovating this historic building and bringing a great restaurant to the area.

“It could have been better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

The hostess was great and personable. The waitress was distracted and forgot us at every opportunity. She was busy but made work for herself by not being organized. The food was fine but we never saw a drinks menu. It was a disjointed experience.

“Quiet weekday lunch at the Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

First time I have been here since it opened under new ownership in February 2013. Relative to its multi-owner past, it was immediately apparent how much had changed for the better by all the physical improvements to the Inn's exterior, by the greeting from the hostess as I entered, and by the layout (furniture, upkeep) of the restaurant. Had the chicken caesar salad -- which I try at many locations -- and this was one of the best in terms of quality of the ingredients and no smothering of the salad in dressing. A glassed in porch area to the south of the main dining room offers a tremendous view of the mountains, in this case (9/16/13) just beginning to put on their fall colors. I hope the new ownership at the Inn will be strongly supported by the tourist trade and the local population alike, as the Inn (under many different names) has suffered through coming-and-going ownership in the past, and this new ownership has put much $ and sweat equity into a complete renovation of the restaurant and the sleeping quarters (which I did not see).

“Twin Lakes Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

First of all, this inn should also be listed as a hotel as well as a restaurant on this app! The staff were very kind and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. Meals delicious and promptly prepared. And the scenery was, of course, absolutely unbeatable!

The one glitch was a quirky shower which the staff plans to fix during their brief off-season.

“Nice place for a roadside rest.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013 via mobile

Stopped by for a bite to eat while on a road trip in Colorado. The Inn is roughly midway between Glenwood Springs and Leadville on highway 82 so it's a convenient place to stop for a rest and a bite to eat. They have a full menu but only serve 1/2 lb. Kobe beef hamburgers/fries, salads, and desserts between 2:30 and 4:30. Burger/fries were excellent with a nice cold beer; about $25 for the burger/fries, side of fries, and a couple of beers. The interior decor is rustic with all wood furniture and rough cut wood planks for the floor. There's a fantastic view of the mountains from most of the dining area.
