From the moment you enter you feel relaxed and welcome.
The house is beautifully restored and full of history.
I stayed for two nights in the walnut suite, watching the sunrise over the hills was beautiful.
You really couldn't find nicer people than the owners, nothing was too much trouble and as for the home cooked breakfast..........wow.
The B&B is within easy walking distance of the main high street.
If you want to visit a town with a wonderful serene spirtual energy, Trinidad is the place to visit and the Tarabino, the perfect place to stay.
I will be back again in Trinidad next December and there is no question about where I am staying..........I am back at the Tarabino
We would recommend this b&b to family, friends, and will stay here again if we're in Trinidad, CO.
Only had the opportunity to stay here 1 night/ 1 breakfast, but this was a restful, beautiful place to stay. Our party occupied the 2nd floor, there is 1 extremely large suite and a smaller but still spacious 2nd bedroom. The very-large suite had a bathroom that you could not take a proper bath in, due to the age of the plumbing. So even though the smaller bedroom has a detached, full bath, I would recommend the smaller one, since you can take full advantage of the claw-footed tub in that one.
The hosts were relaxed and pleasant, breakfast was delicious and very filling. The cookies in the afternoon were a real treat -- the ones we enjoyed were homemade shortbread with pepper-jelly. Sounds odd, but very yummy.
Future plans include expanding a downstairs powder room into a full bathroom (with probably just a shower), so that one additional bedroom in the downstairs can be fully-functional for guests.
What a wonderful place to stay. Kevin and Teresa are marvelous hosts and the breakfasts could not be any finer. Both Kevin ad Teresa take turns with creating some of the most diverse and delicioous breakfast fares. The rooms and art work are displayed in the finest Victorian settings. This is a jewel in a very scenic little town.
Next time you are in town don't miss the warmth, subdued luxury and elegance of the Tarabino. Each room has its own distinctive character, decorated in superb, old Italian style (the original owners used to be Italians), service is wonderful and very friendly. As for the (included in price) breakfast, it has everything and is very healthy. The staff is like old friends just trusting you with the keys. Very highly recommended.
