Furama hotel few steps to Jomtien beach just across the road and you there,,,The hotel was nice the crew were friendly , I booked the hotel wit out breakfast because in Pattaya I will not be able to return to your room before 5am,,,,,so There was 2 swimming pool in a hotel well nice and clean,,,,,,the restaurants looks good I guess the y are a bit expensive but in general the hotel was value for the money I paid.

The only thing is the hotel location is a bit far from Pattaya walking street which's not a big issue 20 baht and you there.

Room Tip: High floor up from 15th,,,cool view

Furama hotel has a wonderful view of the beach. From the room I can watch the great view of sunrise and sunset. But, the room isn't in so good condition. The light controller beside the bed all can't use. The pillow seems like melting when I put my head on it. The air con is so noisy that we can't sleep. The balcony is quite dangerous because its fence is too short. If you are careless, it's possible for you to fall down.

The service is OK for Thai guests. When we asked the housekeeper or the receptionist for some information, they are pleased to answer . However, when the foreigners asked them some questions, they seem like can't understand what the foreigners say.

The cleanliness is the most terrible point. The swimming pool are full of sand and rubbish. The dish and kitchenware are so dirty.

Breakfast is also bad. Food taste is so terrible.

The room we stayed in had a great view of the Jomtien Beach. I think nearly all rooms have a good view of the beach. However, the rooms (and bathroom) and the general up-keep of the hotel is not great. Somehow, the rooms do not live up to the impressive structure of the hotel and is disappointing.

It is not very close to the main city/Walking street. But, this is only an issue in case of really late nights, since you have share cabs to the city all other time. They cost you 10 THB per passenger, irrespective of where you get in and where you get off. If you need to book a whole cab for yourself, then is generally costs about 150 THB.

The advantage of it being outside the city is that its more relaxed and quieter.

However, given the poor quality of the rooms, I would not recommend the Hotel.

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better view. Try to get a room on the western side for a better view of the sun...

All the rooms are designed to have a very good view of the sea. There is a pool at the 5th floor that has fabulous views. Location is also great - away from the noisy Pattaya crowd. However its not a great place for night activities.

Staff are very impolite - most of them do not understand English. Customer service is totally absent. Lot of Russian tourists here - does not have a Thai ambience!

Worst part is the maintenance of the rooms. Curtains are torn & toilets have mildew growing. Cleaning standards are very poor. The photos shown are very deceptive. Only the larger suites at the end of hallway are newly refurbished & photographed.

With a plethora of choices in Pattaya, this hotel is easily worth skipping.

Room Tip: Choose the rooms at the end of hallway - i think they are family suites

Don't ever go near this place, not only is it run down and shabby but they tend to attack guests that disagree with them after a serious accident ...... 9 on 1 the following is what happend : My wife and I were standing on the balcony, she turn to walk to the bathroom her elbow strikes the glass door, this subsequently collapses showering her with shards of glass making her fall with large shards of glass stuck in her thigh, shoulder and right arm / hand. I immediately phoned reception and started on 1st. aid as she was bleeding a lot, no help came so I wrapped a towel around my hand and broke the largest shard in her thigh so I could carry her to the bed. I then phoned the reception again asking for help, and then started bandaging her wounds with strips of towels at this point thankfully the people staying next door had heard the yelling and crying and came to help, taking my son to their room so he didnt have to witness more of the carnage, as they got back to their room they to called the reception asking that help be sent. Finally some staff ( a receptionist and a security guard) arrived as the receptionist hurried to help me with the first aid, the security guard was more occupied taking pictures of the room, balcony and my wife who had no clothes on (unless you count the bandages I constructed as clothes) and did not quite understand why I objected to him taking pictures of her. I carried her downstairs and an ambulance arrived and we were taken to the emergency room on Pattaya-Bangkok hospital. 5½ hr later and 74 stitches, 14 staple's and 94000 thb poorer we returned to the hotel to enjoy our last 4 days of the stay in Jomtien, we were after much discussion and after promising to pay for the new room moved to another room, as our old room was full of blood and shards of glass. 4 days later we checked out and not only did we have to pay for another room, we were charged for the towels I had used for bandages and the bedding that she had dared to bleed on, when i protested about that I was manhandled by a bellboy, and when he found out really wasn't up to the task he called in 8 others and proceeded to try to beat me up infront of a crying wife and child fortunately some friends of ours arrived to pick us up at that moment and seeing that not only was I not alone anymore, but my wife had started filming the attack with her iPhone they stopped instead they blocked the way so our friends car couldnt leave before we had payed the extra money demanded. The incident is now in the hands of a Thai lawyer and the police and we're told that it is a good case and that chances are good that there will be some sort of compensation for her. I'm putting in a picture of how our room looked after the accident, don't look at it if you can't stand blood.

Dear Guest,
According to the comment you have written above. The management of Furama Jomtien Beach would like to clarify the following points.
1. The Duty Manager and Security were notified by phone, and up to the room immediately. At that time, we saw the two of you injured then first aid immediately provided. The Security was taken pictures of the damage of balcony glass, blood around the room, and the room condition as a security procedure. No intention to disturb your wife.
2. Ambulance was called by the hotel staff. The preliminary you do not wish to go to the hospital. Hotel staff convinced you and your wife to the hospital due to seriously injuries and bleeding. While you and your wife were at the hospital, hotel staff have been taking care your son too.
3. Towels and mattress damaged blood. The hotel did penalty the cost of damages only. Finally, after negotiate price and as a gesture of goodwill, the hotel did not charge you this amount of damages.
4. While discussion you were in bad temper and did not have controlling yourself. You held up the stainless steel pole stand and threw it into the reception counter which there were 3-4 female receptionists working. Fortunately, the pole stainless steel tied up with the cable, and it was heavy. Then, you threw it down with such force that the hotel lobby crack, which is intended to cause damage of your destruction. The hotel needs to collect money damages for your intentional.
5. Employees tried to negotiate and discussed with you but you did not willing talk to the staff and began attacking punch. 4 of staff and Security had only just prevented themselves from your violence.
6. The lobby incident was recorded in all of the CCTV system. The hotel has already done the police report, and also ready to submit all evidence for further action.
Once again, we would like to thank you for taking the time to share us and others your experience. Furama Jomtien Beach currently maintains our standard of service in order to strive for the highest level of service excellence.

Sincerely yours,
Komkrit Sripattanawat

Comfortable hotel with nice pools, good sea view and is away from the normal crowded beaches of pattaya.

Was there for a 2day 1 night stay, love the view of the pool and the sea view. The beach is not fantastic and the waves are strong, but when you are looking out at the sea from 24 floor. Is Fantastic.
So if you like high floor request for it, I booked through Agoda and was told that I am given 4th floor. When I wanted higher floor they charged me extra US$15

The breakfast is reasonable, standard hotel food. Maybe coz is not the weekend yet, the floor I was only has less then 30% occupancy.

OOh they actually gave me a toothbrush box with out the toothbrush inside !!

Average is exactly the right word for this hotel. On the good side we have the view, quiet rooms, closeness to the beach, the pools and the breakfast. On the bad side we have general disrepair, a real lack when it comes to details, not a lot to do within walking distance and a hotel that has never been completed.

Room Tip: Higher up is not better. When it is windy the balcony doors rattle and the higher you are, the more...
