This hotel was one of the most disappointing hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff was indifferent, the rooms tired and dirty and the maid service awful. The Peaks is in need of new management and attitude as much as renovations.

Over the valentines week, my husband and I stayed at the Peaks Resort and Golden Door Spa. Telluride has the most amazing snowboarding. If you are looking for an active vacation, that also is pup friendly, this is the place. They have programs to keep your kids entertained all day while mom and dad are on the slopes. There is a free gondola that takes you from mountian village to the town of the peaks, and it's breathtaking. Make sure to visit Allreds...it was the best meal we had all week! Plus the view is beautiful! I gave the peaks a 4 out of 5 becasue they could stand to update the resort a bit. The plans are in the works to do so, so my husband and I plan to visit the resort after the remodel. The rooms are average, but they are clean. The staff there couldn't have been nicer! Everyone we came in contact with at the resort and the town were SO helpful and nice! You won't be sorry visiting this amazing resort and town!

We just returned from a fabulous 5 day stay at th Peaks, and are already looking forward to next year. Everything was awesome, from the concierge service (ask for Ellie) to the ski valet (gotta love those warm boots in the morning). The kids had a ball skiing, and in the pool and on the waterslide before dinner. The room was great, and everyone was friendly and helpful. My wife enjoyed her spa treatment. The only complaint I have is that the coffee in the lobby isn't very good (not much of a complaint, huh!). However, the hotel provides Starbucks in the room, so make your own! I have attached a picture which shows the view from the ski in/out area.

I have had the pleasure of staying at several resort lodges including the Stein Eriksen, The Grande Lodge Crested Butte, and Chateau Whistler. While these are great resort properties...they simply do not compare with the overall experience that my family and I enjoyed during a recent stay at The Peaks.

From the convenience of the ski valet...to the onsite spa...to the live music in the lobby...to the spectacular rooms (and our stay was prior to the impending renovation), every aspect of this resort is absolutely first-class.

In addition to being adjacent to the fabulous Telluride ski area, the resort is in the middle of Mountain Village...with a complimentary (and breath-taking) gondola service into the town of Telluride, less than a two-minute walk away.

Finally, the staff is probably the most courteous and well-managed group of folks that we have encountered at any of our destinations.

Kudos to everyone at The Peaks. My family and I look forward to seeing you again!
