We just returned from a fabulous 5 day stay at th Peaks, and are already looking forward to next year. Everything was awesome, from the concierge service (ask for Ellie) to the ski valet (gotta love those warm boots in the morning). The kids had a ball skiing, and in the pool and on the waterslide before dinner. The room was great, and everyone was friendly and helpful. My wife enjoyed her spa treatment. The only complaint I have is that the coffee in the lobby isn't very good (not much of a complaint, huh!). However, the hotel provides Starbucks in the room, so make your own! I have attached a picture which shows the view from the ski in/out area.

Wow!

I have had the pleasure of staying at several resort lodges including the Stein Eriksen, The Grande Lodge Crested Butte, and Chateau Whistler. While these are great resort properties...they simply do not compare with the overall experience that my family and I enjoyed during a recent stay at The Peaks.

From the convenience of the ski valet...to the onsite spa...to the live music in the lobby...to the spectacular rooms (and our stay was prior to the impending renovation), every aspect of this resort is absolutely first-class.

In addition to being adjacent to the fabulous Telluride ski area, the resort is in the middle of Mountain Village...with a complimentary (and breath-taking) gondola service into the town of Telluride, less than a two-minute walk away.

Finally, the staff is probably the most courteous and well-managed group of folks that we have encountered at any of our destinations.

Kudos to everyone at The Peaks. My family and I look forward to seeing you again!

My wife and I spent five days in this mountain paradise during early ski season in December. The staff could not have been more friendly or attentive. Check-in was fast and efficient with the front desk staff greeting me with that "oh, yes we've been expecting you" attitude that's so nice after a daylong trip. We had a gorgeous view from our room. I can't imagine a hotel in Telluride with a more perfect location.
That evening we decided to check out the resort's new restaurant. We were delighted to find the Chef and staff take great pride in presenting truly top-notch meals comparable to the very best I have enjoyed.
After a peaceful night of sleep, my wife and I were only an elevator ride away from onsite ski rentals and a very knowledgable ski staff who had us hitting the slopes in no time.
Each morning when we arrived to get our skis, the staff would see us from across the room and have our gear ready to go before we made it to the desk. Talk about service!
During our stay, my wife and I both received treatments at the Golden Door Spa and both were pleased .
I am completely sold on The Peaks and intend on returning next year.

Went to relax and enjoy the Fall colors, but ran into a very poor resort in need of money and service. I took my family to Telluride after I heard it was a place to go from friends, They also said not to stay at the Peaks Resort, but the price was hard to beat at $99. However, based on the service and the very poor food quality, I would never stay at the resort again. I know the resort accepts dogs, because I had to clean my son's shoe after he stepped in it.

Poor customer service from all employees, as well as the quality of the room, very dirty, and dusty. As difficult as it is to get to Telluride, make sure you enjoy the stay as I will in the future but not at the Peaks.

“So sad to be home!”

The Peaks Resort & Golden Door Spa

We just arrived back home at 2am this morning! We had a lovely 4-day weekend at the Peaks and truly enjoyed the R&R! This was during the 3-4 week off season, which again, we loved! We live in Orlando and deal with enough tourists that we enjoyed having this place very low-key. I called to book the room directly through the hotel and received the same rate as I found on the amex website. In fact, when we checked in, they upgraded us free to the suite! I was so suprised when we opened the door. We had the sunset suite with a balcony and the views were gorgeous! So, check-in....A+

Concierge Service....A++
We had Maegan's help the whole time. In fact I called her just after we booked the room and she scheduled for a car service to pick us up at the Telluride airport and to take us back for our departure. Once we were there she phoned around town to see what resteraunts and activities were open (since it was the off-season), and made reservations for us, planned an awesome fly fishing trip, and catered to our every whim!!! All we had to do was fill out a form for our fishing license and everything else was 100% taken care of! (Telluride Outdoor was awesome! The fly-fishing trip was worth every penny!)

Maid Service...A+
We never had any problems with cleanliness. Once we were changing into our bathing suits for the spa when they came to clean the room and we asked if she could wait a couple of minutes, and she politey waited in the hall until we left, then cleaned our room!

Food Servcie...A+
Very prompt and courteous! The breakfast from the great room was very good every day! The lift had good salads and snacks, fo a more casual meal. Just a fair warning (and nothing related to the hotel itself) but all of Telluride's resteraunts are a bit pricey. We bought some soda and water at the market and kept it in our fridge. One thing I should have done from the beginning, check the phone book in your nightstand, and go under restaraunts in the yellow pages. We found a couple that delivered for free and were a great price! I'm a simple girl and a lot of these restaraunts are very "frou-frou" to say the least.

Customer Service...A+
We noticed the second day there that the humidifier wasn't working properly. We called downstairs and someone came in like 5 minutes and fixed it! We casually mentioned that the batteries in our remote were dying (not that it would be the end of the world!) but he radio'd someone and they were there instantly with a new remote. It was crazy how fast and nice they were.

Overall....A+
I can't say anything bad about this hotel! We loved our massages at the spa, the kivas were so clean and luxurious...okay one little bad thing. The jacuzzis, along with the spa, closed at 6pm. I found myself wishing the jacuzzis were open later when I was sore from hours of wading in the river fly fishing. This minor complaint in no way tarnished my experience! I would go back in a heartbeat! PS-landing in Telluride is not for the weak of heart! If you are afraid of flying or even a little bit of turbulance, land in Montrose and take the hour drive!
