The Double Diamond was a nice place to stay. The interior was comfortable but dated. All the modern necessities (TV, VCR, DVD player, Washer/Dryer, Fireplace) make it a nice retreat. The location would be great for skiing (right next to the ski lift), but for off season visits, be prepared to walk or bike or drive to the heart of the town where most of the restaurants and shops are. The Double Diamond is on the end of the 10 blocks of the town. While we were there, we could hear pipes banging through the walls (had no idea what it was, we told the front desk but the noises persisted throughout our stay). If you don't like stairs, this is not the place for you (three stories). I must say the kitchen is a nice size, but the bathrooms are very small. You can barely shave and brush your teeth in the master bathroom due to the odd configuration of the sink area. There are two eateries near by, but the bulk of the restaurants are further away as are the bookstores, shops, and cafes. Resort Quests check in area is a walk away from the actual units, so be prepared for that by asking your taxi driver to wait for you to check in then take you to the Double Diamond.
