“Nice Sushi and a tasty meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2009

We had 3 sushi rolls. They were good but we live at the beach. The owner is very nice offering nice sugestions. For dinner I had the Stuffed chicken with shrimp tandori style. We had special tea that was nice.. My wife had the blackened tofu.. A nice change from the typical Colorado food.

“Our Favorite!”

Excellent sushi, so fresh, and amazing mojitos! Every night they do a special of a roll and a mojito for $12... Can't beat that!

“A suhi resturant run's out of Sushi”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2008

We had a booking made for eight people close to three weeks before the evening for . To start it took over 15 minutes to be seated and our drinks took close to 45 minutes to arrive. We ordered one round of Sushi and informed our waitress that we would be ordering more, when we asked to do this we were told that the restaurant was out of Sushi.
The manger could only say that she was sorry, it was a really busy weekend and they did not get a fish order on Sunday, and hoped we would come back. It was blue's and brew's, what did she expect- no people in town of course it was busy, and don't tell us you don't get fish on Sunday, but you still accept booking's- Sure the food was good- but nothing you can't get in a big city. This place was once worth the extra cost of sushi from a mountain town- but not anymore. The last few times I have been here the service is minimal- looks like greed has sadly taken a hold here.

“Too big for their britches”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2008

I have been going to Honga's for the past few yeas and it was a highlight of my Telluride trip. Since they have moved to their new location, I have noticed a progressive decline in both the food and service. Many dishes are still very good but I have been noticing more and more misses. At this point, I would not bring my foodie guests here. Many sushi items and the soups are still very good but enough is still just OK.
