We arrived in Telluride at sunset on the and checked in to our hotel. Not wanting to sit down to an elaborate meal, we inquired at the hotel for a recommendation of a local place to have a drink and something to eat. The concierge suggested Floradora's as a place that could be all things to locals as well as visitors. Right on the money, he was. The kitchen was thinking about closing as we walked in, but happily changed "their" minds.. A more than satisfactory Shepherd's Pie and a great glass of Malbec and our spirits were restored after a long drive from the Grand Canyon. Friendly, convivial owner stopped by for some conversation and our waiter shared some tips about the town. As we walked back to the Sheridan, we looked in at a local coffee shop and witnessed some fine ballroom dancing to Fats Waller, "Your Feets to Big." Fabulous introduction.
