My buddies and I have stayed at Hotel Telluride for the past 8 ski outings. We always booked the next year when we checked out. This year things are noticeably worse. The hotel now seems to accept large ski groups as their new business model. And this quaint and quiet and lovely hotel with nice staff, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfasts and great van service now has the air of a cruise ship. The ski groups take over the formerly nice breakfast area and have gatherings in the lobby excluding other guests. We had booked two connecting rooms as always and when we arrived we found two unconnected rooms, despite calling to confirm this a week before. When we questioned the front desk we were told we had a communication problem.

Circumstances forced to cancel the reservation 2 weeks before the booked vacation. The hotel official policy is that they will charge one night stay. I called the hotel front desk to find out about the policy, it was confirmed that it is a one night charge. The following day the manager refused to refund $1,800 charge because we booked through expedia. No, we did not get any great promotional rate at the booking, absolutely nothing that anyone else would not be able to get. And two weeks in advance cancellation is a substantial period. I have never had to deal with such a terrible management. This is just BAD BUSINESS! I understand the 1 night charge penalty which is a policy in most hotels, but $1,800 is just a theft of my hard earned money!

The Staff was very helpful and cheerful. They steered us to good resturants of all price ranges. The hotel shuttle made not being slope side very easy. Breakfast buffet was good. I especially enjoyed the tomatoes.

Friendly staff made our stay great! Hotel was clean and the location was excellent to getting downtown. Shuttle was an added bonus. Tea, coffee and cookies (!) In the lobby were perfect after a day on the slopes.

We spent 3 days here for ski trip with my family of four with teenage girls. The location and convenience of shuttle to and from gondola plus the friendliness of staff makes this hotel excellent! We stayed at deluxe king with sofa. The rooms are clean but bathroom and furniture seemed to need some updating. Grout dirty in bathrooms. Sofa has seen its time. Furthermore, we arrived with skybox on top of SUV and our car did not fit their parking lot. It was a little inconvenient to find parking outside. Delicious breakfast. Tapas bar a little pricey for quality. Hence the 4 star.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Telluride in January. The room was spacious and comfortable and the service was outstanding from the front desk, the bellboys and the servers in the bar. Every single person on the staff was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We will definitely return to this great hotel!

Weekly traveler with over 1500 nights at Marriott, Hotel Telluride exceed my expectations. Rooms were nice staff was excellent. Would recommend this hotel. I really enjoyed the the friendless of the staff and the way the would go out of there way to be helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quite with plenty of room.
