“Very Accomodating Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We stayed at The Hotel Telluride for a 5 day ski trip. The hotel staff was GREAT--very nice, helpful and responsive. The hotel is located right at the beginning of town. Everything is within walking distance but if you do need a ride, the hotel has a shuttle service. The restaurant provided breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was delicious and very convenient before heading out to the slopes. But, if you are looking for lunch, none is offered. There are plenty of great spots in town or up in Mountain Village. We had a double room that was very spacious.

Stayed a couple of days to extend our trip. Warm and inviting lobby with great wi-fi and hot drinks always on tap. The service was always spot on prior to our arrival.

Couple of issues with our stay:

We had a pullout couch that was not changed from the previous occupants. Resolved quickly but housekeeping was subpar for a hotel of this caliber.

The 2 outdoor hot tubs are old, dated, dirty and in need of replacement.

The Nook restaurant is very good for breakfast. Did not eat other meals here but they were offered. Fast and custom orders handled with ease. The shuttle service was always excellent and made getting anywhere in Telluride a snap. Skis always out and ready for you by the front door. Parking is very limited around this location. We just paid the $20 a day for the underground parking.

Overall, excellent hotel that I would recommend and return to.

Stayed at the Hotel Telluride for four nights during a recent ski trip. This is a very comfortable hotel located at the edge of the downtown area in Telluride. The rooms are large and clean. Staff are super friendly and very helpful if you need directions or information concerning the town. The lobby is set up with nice comfortable sofas for relaxing with friends after your ski day. They serve complimentary coffee all day and hot cider and cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. There is a small but nice restaurant right in the hotel, which offer evening meal specials. Food is good and well prepared, especially the breakfasts (which are not included in your room price).
Ski storage is offered so you do not need to lug your skies up and down from your room. They also run two shuttle vans to and from the ski lifts and the downtown area. The guys who drive the vans are friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to stay in Telluride and a nice relaxing place after a long ski day.

Wonderful classic mountain hotel. Friendly staff make this a great place to stay. The rooms are a par above most... And the hotel has great Internet service. Beds are comfy, and the Nook restaurant is very good for a small hotel.

Down side.... Hotel has very limited parking, and the garage can't handle SUVs with ski racks... So you have to park in a free lot 0.75 miles away. Hotel up charged for our son, and did not mention at the time of booking, nor at check in! Lastly the hot tub is outside on Main Street.... Good if your an exhibitionist.....

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on south side .....street traffic

We just stayed at The Hotel Telluride for the first time and would diffidently stay there again. The location was great to the slopes and downtown. They also provide a shuttle to the slopes and downtown if you do not want to walk but everything is in walking distance. We stayed in the Mountain Village last time but like this location much better. The hotel staff were wonderful and very accommodating.

Room Tip: We stayed in the standard room with a king bed. Room was a little small. Next room size up probably...

I returned to the hotel again this year and it's still a great value and just perfect for a ski vacation. Located within walking distance of town and a quick shuttle to the mountain (you can walk but why!), it's clean, has large rooms, and a helpful staff. The restaurant is a nice convienance if you have kids but we enjoyed walking to town each morning for more local "flavor" such as the Steaming Bean. Telluride is a must visit resort and staying in town beats the mountain village (unless you are with little kids with ski school needs). The hotel also fixed its internet speeds so that means you can work a bit after playing hard on the mountain! So great value in the most glorious ski town in America.
