Description: Affectionately known as B-I-T, we are Telluride's favorite spot for fast breakfast, sandwiches, pizza, and moderate priced dining. We're newly rebuilt 1/2 block south of Main Street at 127 S. Fir. Look for the big red corrugated building. We're fast, and can handle even the crowds during the big festivals with only a few minutes in line.

“Great Sandwiches, But Ordering System needs work”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2014

We always visit BIT when in Telluride and love their sandwiches. They are always our first choice when packing lunches for hikes and day-trips in the mountains. This past visit, we ate from there twice. Although the food was excellent, our orders were wrong both times. They seem to have some computerized ordering system on the registers that should eliminate mistakes, but both times two sandwiches were assembled incorrectly.

It is extremely popular with locals and visitors, so it's obviously good. They have a huge operation and sell all kinds of pastries, rolls, donuts, etc., as well as sandwiches, salads and pizzas (beer & wine, too). We've even ordered birthday cakes when we celebrated birthdays while visiting Telluride.

“Decent food, great variety”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

Want an easy place to eat for a larger group, this is a good casual place. They have quite a big menu and also have gluten free, dairy free, and other allergen free foods listed. My turkey Reuben was good, wife's breakfast burrito also okay. My kids enjoyed a cookie and a GF/CF blueberry muffin. Bottom line is average food, but I give it a very good for the selection.

“Dry, bland and overrated.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2014

Our meal was awful. We had a soup, 2 different sandwiches and various desserts. Everything we had was extremely dry with little to no flavor. The deli meat had a nasty gelatin all over it and the breads and desserts were so dry that I felt like I was eating something similar to a crouton. I wouldn't recommend eating here. Try anything else.

“It's ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2014

I went there 2 mornings in a row for breakfast and although I enjoy the convenience of location and grab and go items, the food was really bland and without flavor. We had the breakfast burrito and the egg bagel. The espresso was tasty.

“BIT - a long-time Telluride tradition”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

You can stop all day long at BIT - coffee, doughnuts and breakfast in the morning, sandwiches and pizza all day. Order at counter, seating at long tables and picnic tables on covered front porch. Meet locals and visitors. Friendly service. 1/2 block south of Main Street.
