“What a beautiful room and hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013 via mobile

Sad to leave and only have one short night before our Ride the Rockies event! Staff were extra attentive, rooms were such a relaxing treat and very well appointed and very close to the free gondola down to town. I would love to stay here again and again!

Thanks so much! We are so happy that you were able to join us before kicking off your long bike ride through Southwestern Colorado. The weather was wonderful! Hope you are having a great ride, and we would be delighted to have you back. Travel safe.

Thanks so much for selecting the Hotel Madeline and we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay. We had a some cosmetic repairs that popped up in our swimming pool area, so sorry that you were not able to take advantage of it during your stay. The pool is open again, and hopefully you can enjoy during your next visit. Please let us know when you might be back again, we would be delighted to have you.

This is one of the nicest hotels around, the rooms are beautiful, comfortable and very roomy. We have stayed in both a condo and hotel room, both perfect! The service is wonderful, very nice and helpful. Telluride is spectacular!

Just got back from a couple of days in paradise. It was our first time staying at the Hotel Madeline and it was a wonderful experience. Our room was amazing - very large with great views. The location could not have been any better - steps away from the gondola. Service was fantastic - everyone was so nice and helpful. Our only disappointment was that we had to leave. We will definitely return!

The facility is very nice. The room was luxurious - king bed, 5-piece bath. The location was in the corner farthest from the pool and it was quite a hike. The hotel was practically empty, but probably since we got it on Priceline ($100), they put us far away. The hot tub is small and indoors. No free parking. Valet was $20 (summer rate). No cookies or mint on pillow.

When we arrived we asked for the feather pillows and comforter to be replaced with down-alternatives because we are allergic. They said no problem. They had us wait a few minutes and then said the room was ready. We went up and there were pillows and a comforter. We dropped our stuff and left. When we returned late that night, there was no comforter and only one pillow. Guest services said they would bring pillows which they did immediately, but they were down pillows. We asked the maid if they had feathers, but she did not understand English and only nodded yes several times. We checked and they were feather pillows. Guest services then sent an English speaking supervisor with the maid and 3 pillows. She said they had recently done inventory and 'misplaced' the down-alternative pillows. I should have asked for a blanket, but did not. Around midnight I called and requested a blanket. The smoke alarm had two bright blinking lights all night (low battery?). The fan was turned to 'On' and was very loud. We switched it off at midnight and covered the smoke alarm with a hat. They were fairly unsympathetic when we checked out.

The location is in the Mountain Village which is easily accessible from Telluride using the free gondola.

We will probably stay elsewhere next time. Service should have been much better for a 5* Hotel.

This was our first trip to Telluride, and we absolutely loved the Hotel Madeline. We had a deluxe king room, for a week whilst there to ski. We had a view of the ski runs overlooking the little ice rink. The room was perfect, with a huge bathroom, deep (and I mean deep) soaker tub and separate shower and toilet. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. I'm sure the mountain air helps. Not a peep could be heard from guests in adjoining rooms OR from the corridor. Nightly turn down service and ski valet all wonderful touches. The service from absolutely every staff member was polite, friendly, and very professional. Step out the door of the ski valet and your skis are on the snow, ready to go. You won't lift a finger at the Hotel Madeline. We will be back.
