“Clean, Affordable, Great Location, Friendly Staff, It Worked...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

We stayed here because it was affordable and in a great location. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is definitely of average quality (older t.v., etc.) but if you just need an affordable place to rest your head for the night it should work fine. The beds are just okay but acceptable. Also, it had a little refrigerator that came in handy. The one downer was that we were expecting to have free parking at the hotel given the very limited parking in Telluride. When we got to the hotel, the parking lot was full but we were luckily able to park on the street for free until 10 a.m. the next morning. The front desk person also said that if a space came open we could park in the hotel's lot all day for free (even though we were checking out) while we went skiing. Unfortunately, there was still no parking in the hotel parking lot the next morning. Everything turned out well though as we decided to just drive up to Mountain Village, which is only 2 miles away, and park in the parking structure that is located at the base of one of the gondola's. We were able to park there all day for only $7 and it was totally convenient.

Room Tip: If you can't find parking in Telluride during the day and you are just need to park to ski for t...

Thank you for your fantastic review of The Victorian Inn! We’re so glad you enjoyed our cleanliness and it is our pleasure to provide you with friendly service. Your feedback is important to us and we will work hard to continually improve our customer experience. We have updated to flat screen TV’s in every room as well as invested in parking passes for those who are not as lucky with Telluride’s busy parking lots.

Thanks again for staying with us at The Victorian Inn and we hope to welcome you back soon!

We try and travel to Telluride once a year and the Victorian Inn is our preferred lodging every time. We have yet to find a place with a better location and value than this place! If you are like us and are looking for something clean, comfortable, affordable, and close proximity to everything, you won't find anything better in town -- I can promise you that! If you are looking for a 5 star resort and spa, this is not the place for you. You can park your car and never have to see it again until it's time to head home. It's a block from the Gondola and ski lifts and a block from the main street. We've stayed in the "cozy cottage" which is great for a longer trip because it has a lovely kitchenette so you don't have to eat out every night. We have also stayed in their standard rooms which are always very accommodating and provide us with all of the essentials and they even have small compact refrigerators! Have I mentioned how awesome the location is??? You get my point...

Room Tip: If you travel here in the summer, this place is located walking distance to great hiking trails!

We stayed here as it was the cheapest option in Telluride during peak season. There is limited parking but we were able to get a space (street parking available, free on sundays). The room was average, a bit small but older building. Tube tv so no HDMI. Outdoor hot tub was nice but jets didn't really work. Continental breakfast had a limited selection but fresh baked cinnamon buns were a nice touch. Best part was the front desk clerk who was helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Main floor helped avoid going up the icy outdoor stairs between floors.

The location is the best feature. You can walk to the gondola in ski boots, and access the lifts easily. Great skiing at Telluride. The rooms were like a very basic Super 8, with less of a breakfast. Cereal, yogurt, and something they called "cinnamon rolls" were available after 8am, even though the lifts open at 9am. The room smoke detectors went off twice in many of the rooms, causing a small scale evacuation both times. Apparently, it is a common occurance. The staff was very nice. Overall, it was far more expensive than it should have been.

Very close both to the main street and shops etc and also to the free cable car in beautiful Telluride. Street parking with a display card (essential) from the inn in the streets adjacent. We had a basement room but it was quite light. The member of staff in reception was exceptionally helpful in all respects and the breakfast - though a little cramped in the small reception area was very welcome. Good advice given re. eating places. On the whole a very good value nights stay.

A wonderful hotel. Very clean & comfortable. Excellent location. I left a pair of earrings by mistake & housekeeping and desk clerk were kind enough to mail them to me. We enjoyed the location as we could walk to nearby restaurants. Also enjoyed soaking outdoors in the hot tub.
Thanks for a great stay!

No microwave in room and the office one is locked up til 8am. Coffeepot in room. Nice TV and bedcovers. Clean and parking behind building. One block from the main street so its easy to walk to town for dinner.

Room Tip: be sure to get the wifi code when you check in - they close the office
