“Awesome time at the Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

First trip to Telluride - and it was awesome. The Inn is great - from the giant warm chocolate chip cookies to the staff that never failed to say hello or ask to help. The location was perfect just steps from the lifts and gondola. And the room - steam shower and fireplace were a tie for making the trip extra good.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel! If I could go back and live there I would! I have never experienced a hotel or resort where every single employee was so knowledgable, accommodating, and incredibly thoughtful towards their work and their guests... Truly remarkable experience. I cannot say enough about this truly magical Inn which is placed precisely in the heart of this ski-haven! The accessibility of the town and nightlife is astoundingly effortless thanks to the Gondola (most intelligent public transportation in the world) and the après-ski is like cloud nine after a day of skiing in heaven. Enough said. Just do it.

This is a great hotel. A warm welcome at 1am after a long drive goes a long way. And things just kept getting better. Excellent breakfast, a ski valet so our skis were waiting for us on the snow and best of all, you're about a five second ski down to the main chair lift in Mountain Village.

The staff were all faultless. The room was great. The location was ideal. And it was all very reasonably priced. Oh, and they had freshly baked cookies in the lobby each day. Will definitely come back.

I have reviewed the Inn before based on stays from 2009 to 2011. Went back this year after a couple of years at Lumiere, which I also reviewed highly, and rightly so.

But what made the Inn even better this year, and will bring me back in 2015, was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. From head "Innkeeper" Julie down, they were all perfect. Very very friendly and helpful, and without it ever seeming forced or some kind of act, which is a vibe you sometimes get when hotel staff are trying too hard and don't really mean it. There has been a change since 2011 - staff were not bad then, but the difference is noticeble.

Otherwise, I confirm what is said in all the other recent reviews.

But I will find a fault, just so this does not look like a paid testimonial. Towels are too small. I am solid (though far from obese, particularly after 2 weeks serious skiing), and I could not wrap any of the little towels around me after a shower. Don't have that issue at other 4/5 star properties. Fix that and you will be perfect.

You can't get any better service and be any closer to the Mountain. Amazing views right from your bed, this is a world class place to ski and lodge and I wouldn't wanna stay anywhere else if I came back to Telluride. Warm, relateable, and cheery staff throughout and great amenities.

A++ rating from the Coots in Bemidji.

The entire staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted. We extended our stay because we had such a great experience there. The location is ideal- right there at the base area so we could walk to and from with ease. Facilities were also great- clean, comfortable and convenient with in-room laundry, etc.

Just finished a fabulous week in Telluride at the Inn at Lost Creek, just steps away from the Village Express lift, the gondola to town and the village square. This place is ski out/ski in at it's best; skis and poles waiting in the rack outside every morning and taken in each night by the hotel staff. Chocolate chip cookies and hot cider in the lobby every afternoon, what's not to like about that? And I can't say enough about the staff, they made our trip easy and comfortable every step of the way; their knowledge and enthusiasm made our stay a real joy. The rooms are great, too. We booked a junior suite, which turned out to be a little smaller than we expected. We would have upgraded if space were available, but in the end it worked out just fine. Our only beef was the two chairs in the sitting area by the fireplace, instead of a love seat. They need to fix that! We were also on the 7th floor which had some funky sloped ceilings; but neither of these things diminish my rating of this very fine inn. Highly recommended.
