Stayed here with wife late June 2011 for 2 nights. This hotel is actually in Mountain Village, which is on the other side of a ridge, in the ski area of Telluride. You'll need to take the gondola to get to Telluride, but it's only a few minutes walk and it runs until late at night (and it's free). We like more the modern style so looking at some pictures quickly decided this was our kind of place. The staff were very helpful. The room (we rented a one-bedroom) was just excellent with great views (I believe we were on the 5th floor - it was one floor above reception) - just a beautiful room all round. Not cheap.... Although it calls itself a hotel, I think of it more as a building of condos where they've put a couple of desks on one floor that serve as reception. When we were there midweek, there were no services available, altho the bar/restaurant area looked inviting - no food or drink at all available. The gym was very small (along th elines of 4 bikes and a vertical rack of weights) and it was HOT - poor ventilation with lots of lights and tv monitors on all the bikes....ugh. One more thing - there's no AC, so if you're going during peak season it could get a bit warm in the rooms at night. You'll need to keep windows open in the morning, closed during the day, and then open in the evening. We were ok, but it was a close call. Loved our stay in Telluride, and would stay here again. Hi end, classy hotel.
