“beautiful location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

It was located very near to downtown but on the outskirts. There was a bus shuttle from the condo location to downtown which was such a big convenient factor to get around.
The condo could fit 7 of us and it had great facilities...including a pool.....

Room Tip: This condo is located in an area that is pretty quiet. Choose the rooms that faces the ski mountain.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

Just spent the week at the Village, second time we have been here. Consistent with last time, we had a two bed apt in bldg 3, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, once again. We used RCI to book, and had no issues as usual, and found the apartment, spacious, well furnished, good amenities and more than adequate. Couple of points. Only allowing two device free sign in on the Wi Fi these days is too little, with phones tablets and laptops spread through the family. We wanted to extend our stay by one night, there is no mechanism for that, seems a big miss to gain additional revenue, and provide a better service to both guests and Owners. We liked the shuttle service to the Gondola, always flexible and courteous. Hot tubs were hot, kids loved the indoor pool. We would have liked some snacks at reception in the mornings to go with the coffee ( like the Lodge who put out doughnuts!) but our final recommendation is that we will probably come back AGAIN next year!

Just returned from a week at this location. The room on average was fine, but there were some issues that were reported and ignored. Batteries were missing from remotes (after two days we went and bought our own), the fire place worked on and off. The most important issue was the 2nd bedroom only had a full size bed and not a queen or a king. It makes it very hard for two adults to sleep in a full size bed. The room itself was sufficiently equipped and reasonably clean the bathrooms showed signs of light mold and rot around the shower. The shuttle was very convenient and everyone was very friendly.

Room Tip: We stayed in building 2 on the third floor. From other comments I have read it sounds like the lower...

We stayed here in 2013, checking in on the last day of the ski season; We couldn't have been happier. The 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor was clean, spacious, comfortable and warm!
The beds and lounge furniture were comfortable and the apartment was well kitted out. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can walk to the FREE bus which takes you down to Steamboat and surrounding area for shopping. We spent a wonderful week here - ostensibly in the "mud" season BUT we had plenty of unexpected snow - a real thrill for us coming from hot sunny Queensland. We took the "Go Alpine" shuttle from Denver airport - a picturesque ride, right to the resort - no need for a car. The shuttle stopped at Silverthorne on the way through & if you have a car, there is an outlet centre there. We went to Strawberry Springs hot pools, The Old Town Hot Springs, The Yampa River Walk, Fish Creek Falls and the restaurants, liquor store and super-marts in the area. The liquor store at Central Park shopping centre has an AMAZING range of wine & spirits at prices we can only hope for in Australia. The only downside was that we were only able to spend one week there.

Just returned from a ten day skiing holiday in Steamboat with family members who have a timeshare option with Diamond International resorts. I understand that the Steamboat Village resort is owned by Wyndham Resorts and assume that they have an agreement with Diamond International. The reason I mention this is because there appeared to be different standards offered to us as Diamond Customers; for example we were astonished to be told that we would have to pay for Wi-Fi in our condo and that it would only be available for two devices. I don't want to sound too picky, because it may well be that this is normal in this type of accommodation, but we come skiing in Colorado every year and have not experienced this before. We stayed in a three bedroom condo on the third floor in block two and it was clean, comfortable , nicely equipped and spacious. There was a Tv in all the rooms but the one in the lounge was high above the fireplace and very small (21") The beds were very comfortable but the bed linen wasn't changed or clean towels provided for the entire 10 days. Maybe that is the norm? A free shuttle was provided to the ski area and the drivers were great. So thank you to Earl, for the great music, Rich for his insider knowledge and Gerry for his courteous ways. With one exception (which was rapidly dealt with) the front desk staff were always cheerful and helpful and very patient with us Brits. We enjoyed the skiing, because we had great snow, plus the little town of Steamboat Springs had friendly helpful people, good restaurants, and lots of other facilities that we took advantage off, such as dog sledding, fat biking, and the famous thermal "springs". There was a whole lot more on offer, but the time ran out. One final point on my rating of the accommodation: "Average" seems a bit unfair, but there isn't a category between that and "Very Good" so I would say, somewhere in between.

We stayed here for the first time in 2013 and ended up buying here! Of course, we are back this year and we LOVE IT! Clean, friendly service, close proximity to restaurants, shops (if you need supplies and you forgot), and of course- Mt. Werner! Full kitchen makes it easy for us to cook. Units are clean, big enough, have a great view! The pool is clean, hot tubs are clean and hot! You can't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: book early during ski season

The place is fantastic, very close to the ski resort. The service is great and people is very friendly and helpful. The bus takes you the ski resort which is less than a five minutes drive.
The two floor villa weve got was great.
The only thing you should be careful is getting a villa or condo located at the third floor, due to the lack of elevators.

Room Tip: Any building Works fine, just dont ask for a third floor villa if you are not phisically at a 100% p...
