“We loved this quaint hotel in downtown Steamboat Springs!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2011

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night and were very impressed with the staff and hotel. The staff was friendly and informative with restaurant suggestions. Although the room was small, it was clean and comfortable. After 2 days of camping, we just wanted to relax and we were able to do so at Hotel Bristol. The location is prime! just west of the Hotel is the river with lots of summer activities. Lincoln Avenue is filled with many shops and restaurants that can easily be visited from the hotel. Overall, I will absolutely recommend this hotel!!

Steamboat Springs is an excellent town to visit in the summer. They have lots going on, and the town is charming with lots of shopping. The Bristol Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Very centrally located, with lots of charm. They have an indoor hottub on the third floor with a view of the town and the mountains, heaven!

Loved this hotel! We were a family of 4, so booked a two-room family suite that connected via two bathrooms and a shared shower. Small rooms but cute and very comfy; great downtown location with free parking and a wonderful italian restuarant right downstairs. Desk staff were terrific on directions, suggestions, etc!

"College girl trip" for 4 in Steamboat ..... We decided to try the Bristol and the downtown area instead of the mountain and condos. Upon arrival, we could see immediately that we had made the right decision.

The desk clerk, Natalie (and another one, whose name escapes me) was so very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations, as was everyone we encountered in all the shops! Steamboat is such a friendly little town! We stayed in the family suite, with 2 rooms connected by one common shower and 2 sinks and toilets. Perfect set-up for us. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as snacks, were available in the front lobby. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms clean, and the entire hotel was just so darned quaint.....like a European hotel with a western flair. We all loved it. One of the connecting rooms was a little on the smallish side, as intended for the kids of a family unit, but it worked. (Better, I think, than sleeping on a pullout sofa in some of the other suites.) The second floor features a nice little hot tub and a comfy gathering room to play cards and games. Being an older hotel, this place has some considerations, like using the hair dryers provided (instead of your own) to prevent blowing a fuse. :) The flowers in front were beautiful and made for a European feel, also.

Staying downtown in the midst of the shops, restaurants, July 4th parade and fireworks, was the best decision we could have made. The only time we needed to drive anywhere was when we went exploring in the area, or hiking up to Fish Creek Falls. (Would DEFINITELY recommend that, also!) We appreciated all the time saved not having to catch the shuttle to and from the mountain, especially in the 4th of July crowds!

Thanks to Petrona and all the lovely help at the Bristol for a great stay. We loved Steamboat and the Bristol!! We'll be back!

The Hotel Bristol was a charming hotel, conveniently located. The single room was clean and attractively decorated. Even though the room was small, you felt as if you were in a European hotel. Our stay there was most enjoyable. Also, right next door to the Bristol, is a wonderful Italian spot called Mazzola. They do a great job and the food is excellent. Both places are a win win for anyone staying and eating in Steamboat Springs.

We wanted a place in Steamboat, and this was perfect. We got a family suite which has two rooms each with a queen bed, and a shared bath. The rooms were small, but fine. The hotel is old, but well maintained and clean. The beds were very comfortable -- we slept like logs. The staff was helpful and friendly. We could walk to everything in town.

We had a great stay. Lots of extra touches to make our stay perfect. Room was clean, front desk staff was extremely helpful and informative. Located right in the middle of great restaurants, bars, and cool shops. The only negative was the bed was not the most comfortable. Everything else the bristol offered made up for it. We will be back in the summer.
