Had New Years Eve reservations. Food was good not outstanding but wasn't served for an hour after we sat down. Soup never came at all. They were out of prime rib which was their house specialty. Too many other great options around to consider going back.

The Prime Rib was excellent, juicy and tender; the Onion Soup was outstanding one of the best we have ever had; and the Blackened Trout was very good. The vegetables and the potatoes that came with the meal were well prepared. The complementry salad bar had a good selection of items, with very good dressings, only issue was that the lettuce was wet (pet peeve). The service was outstanding and the prices were reasonable for a resort town.

This place has a great atmosphere, great food (consistantly for 8 years since I've been here) and great service. Be aware that it gets crowded - this can take away from the atmosphere a little. It may be difficult to get in during Steamboat's busy seasons. I prefer to eat at a booth in the bar -it's a little more romantic. They have a little bit of everything - seafood, steak, stuff for the kids. My favorite is the fillet topped with crab meat and bernaise sauce - oh my gosh! Pure heaven! They also have a sunset menu, if you get there by a certain time then they offer a discounted menu.

Nice place to go and enjoy some good food at not such outrageous prices.
