The food was great. I was the only vegetarian in our group and their portabella sandwich was a great alternative. There was something for everyone, and everyone loved their meal. The staff was tons of fun, our waitress even bought us a round of shots. We went out for nightlife a few other nights and always ended up back at the tugboat.
I usually have one complaint, but at the Tugboat everything was great. The service and atmosphere scream excellences. The Tugboat gives you the feel of home away from home. Cheers!!!
We just returned from a Spring Break trip to Steamboat and ate at The Tugboat twice. We found the food and service to be great, even during 'peak' times. It is very close to the slopes, and we thought that for a casual dining experience, it was the best restaraunt on the mountain/Ski Time Square area (with the exception of the Sushi Bar next to Slopeside). Save time, money, and have a good meal at The Tugboat!
Instead of eating on the mountain we walked over to the Tugboat one day. The food was very good and it wasn't as crowded as the on mountain restaurants. Looked like a great palce for a few drinks in the evening.
Great bar atmosphere! It's very noisey at dinner time, or after skiing. But the food is good & reasonably priced. It's definately worth checking out.
