Our stay was booked through an auction website, which we have used many times in the past. The properties have always been far above average (in the 4-5 star quality). This one was somewhat less. The 2 bedroom condo unit was clean and had the usual compliment of linens, kitchen gadgets, etc. The hot tubs were tepid and a little murky. When we told the front desk person she responsed that "they have just been filled and will take some time to warm up". Not a happy thought after a day of skiing.
The next time we tried the hot tubs they were hot. On the third visit they were, again, tepid. When we brought this up to the front desk person we were told that it would be taken care of immediately. It wasn't.
The ice machine in the laundry room had been unplugged so there was no ice. I asked the front desk and she assured me she would have it plugged in and ice would be available in about an hour. The next morning it still had not been plugged in.
We overhead another guest asking for a corkscrew. She was told that the resort no longer put corkscrews in the rooms. When we told the front desk person that we had 2 in our room, he said, "Well yes, we do put them in the rooms but I just don't have any to give out now." Huh?
The coordination of the "resort van" to take guests to and from the slopes and town was somewhat ....well....there was no knowing when it would show up even though it had been called. We took the free city bus from the stop just outside the property. Much faster.
Getting extra linens/toiletries, etc was confusing. Sometimes they would tell us it would be sent up and it never arrived. Other times we were told we would have to come to the reception to get them.
We could see that the exterior of the building is well worn---even in the snow. I would not want to see it in the spring.
On the plus side, it is across the street from Safeway, liquor store, ski rental, etc. Very convenient to the bus stop also. The laundry was free also.
Thankfully we did not pay very much for this or we would have been very disappointed. For a place to stay during ski season(sleep and cook) it was fine but otherwise I would not stay here again.
