The food is delicious, the servings plentiful, the menu comfortable but with gems of unique cultural flair that encourage experimentation. Our server, Julia, was energetic, competent and a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge about the wine and food preparation and ingredients. It is a small, low-lit, bare-bones kind of place, with just enough decor and hustle/bustle to be welcoming. The staff in general was attentive and made us feel like guests in their own home. True value here. The only reason I don't give it a full five stars (much as I want to), is that the seating is not all good. While I could see some tables had charming window views & surroundings, I had a very close-up view of a shabby rug on a wall covering a door - a bit claustrophobic and grim. The meal, however, quickly diverted my attention to the best this place has to offer.
