We found a few units for rent in this complex, but were unable to gather much information form this site or others prior to booking. The photos were incredible, and the owners so cooperative, we took a chance and stayed here during February vacation.
Pines at Orehouse is conveniently located to just about everything. It is located on the access road to the mountain, directly across from the beautiful barn featured in the Steamboat ads. We easily walked to either of two shuttle stops, and two major grocery stores, Walmart, Christy's Sports, restaurants, and other conveniences. The shuttle ride to the mountain took a few minutes at most. We also took the shuttle to the downtown area on a couple of occasions.
The units themselves are fairly new, and furnished according to the individual owners. We rented a 3 BR plus loft and were comfortable with 8 adults. Many have views of the mountain and valley, with lovely decks. The complex has 2 outdoor hottubs, under a roof, with attached changing areas. This is the only area where we feel improvement could be made - the tubs were very murky, and the covers badly in need of repair.
The complex was very quiet, yet convenient to everything. Our entire group felt that we received incredible value and luxury for an off-mountain lodging option. We'd recommend the Pines at Orehouse in a heartbeat.
