Just spent a week at Trappeur's Resort in Steamboat. The apartment we stayed in was fantastic as was the transport support provided by the resort to access the town and ski areas. Access all over town was provided promptly by great drivers. The apartment was well set up for families and the views out the window were "postcard perfect".

I was one of a few in our party who did not ski but there is plenty to do and see in the town for those not willing or able to hit the wonderful ski slopes. But the skiers said the skiiing was wonderful every day - powder like they had not skiied in before.

Would highly recommend the Alpine Taxi as a means of getting to and from Steamboat - it drops you and picks you up from the resort. As a nervous flyer much better than the flight over the Rockies in a small plane!!

“Beautiful in everyway - Loved Trappeurs”

Trappeur's Crossing Resort and Spa

Feb 25, 2008

We Stayed at Trappeurs for 10 Days and I could not fault our accomodation in any way. The Condos are large and Spacious with all of the modern conveniences (dishwasher, microwave and washer/ Dryer). The condos are decorated in a stylish and comfortable way our condo had a large plush leather lounge that was perfect after a day on the mountain.

There was a large fire in the condo and we were never cold the heating is excellent. The best part about Trappeurs is how easy they make it for you to get around. There is a free daily shuttle from Trappeurs to the gondola. If you miss that there is a free taxi service provided by Trappeurs that will take you anywhere you want to go. they will even take you to do your grocery's. All though Trappeurs is away from the ski area you barely notice it as the transportation is so fantastic.

Trappeurs also has free internet in all of the condos and if you forget your laptop there are free computers at reception. There is also a hot tub and Spa ...Perfect

I would recommend Trappeurs to anyone wanting to stay in steamboat

Trappeur's Crossing Resort and Spa

We stayed at Trappeur's Crossing on the weekend of August 10th to the 12th, 2007. Check out the below for some tips:

The Room - We stayed in Unit 2207, and it was very nice! I saw some different pictures on the internet of Trappeur's Crossing, obviously pre-renovation and post-renovation. Let me just settle it, the rooms are completely remodeled to the level one would expect in Steamboat. The architecture and furnishings are very similar to the Steamboat Grand Hotel, which is top notch. Very western/mountainy, very cozy and very comfortable. We also cooked breakfast one morning, and the kitchen was very well stocked with all the utencils needed to make pretty much any meal, which was very nice. The condos don't have A/C (like most places in Steamboat) so it can get pretty warm in the late afternoon, but it really cools down at night.

The Noise - Because you have all the windows open pretty much all the time (in the summer, anyway) the noise from the road is pretty loud at times if you stay at the Timberline building, as we did. Between the cars and busses, and drunk wedding/bar goers late night, it got a bit distracting. So I would recommend that in the summer you stay at one of the other buildings than the Timberline, just because of the noise. In the fall/winter, no problem.

The Facilities - The grounds are very nice. Since the condos are a little older, they have very nice mature landscaping. There is a pool and three hot tubs in the courtyard of the place, and its nice updated. The clubhouse offers computers with internet access, and DSL in all the rooms. The front desk staff were very nice as well. The parking was awesome, as there was parking in the middle of all the buildings, and then under each building as well. We never had any problem finding a parking spot under the building.

The Feel - We've stayed at several different places in Steamboat over the years, and Trappeur's Crossing are as good as any place. If you are looking for a condo, Trappeur's Crossing provides a very solid choice.

Happy Traveling!

Although the property was pricey, I wasn't expecting that much because ResortQuest didn't rate Trappeurs as one of their highest properties. Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. Everything was really teriffic. The accomodations were beyond anything I could have asked for with the highest quality ammenities from A-Z. I really can't say enough and although I like to try new places all the time, I'm tempted to go back their again. If not to Steamboat, I'll definitely try to use ResortQuest again. The service was really outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us!
