This "resort" is now under the management of Legacy Vacation Resorts. Same address & photos look just the same. I think they are doing some renovation of the resort & it is definitely needed.
First, the staff is most helpful & try to get what one needs. They insist you call them to remove the trash from your unit after 5PM so the bears don't get you-not sure they were kidding either, although I never saw a sign of one. The 2-bedroom unit we had was on the 3rd floor and near the end of the building near the road. You do get some road noise & lots of hot afternoon sun. The balcony is about unusable after noon. It really heated up the living area, which is probably great in the winter, but not so good in the summer. They did have a "swamp cooler" in the corner of the living area (off the balcony) but it had already been disconnected for the winter. We were there in late September during a very warm spell. Furniture is okay & there were 3 tvs. The carpet needs to be replaced. The carpet at the entry to the master bath was frayed & loose-I tripped twice. Unit was lacking medium size cooking pots, dinner forks & a salad bowl-and that's just the items I needed for the 2 of us. There were no pots to use in the microwave or pans for the oven. They need to do a complete inventory & replace lots of items.
The location is good for being near town, but not right on the ski slopes. There is a free bus that the city runs that goes right by the complex. Safeway grocery store is right across the street, City Market (with a great deli with lots of prepared takeaway food dishes) is nearby-could walk if you needed to. Also a small Walmart in same shopping area with the City Market.
There is some noise from the train, but I never heard it after 10PM.
Wifi is only available in the main lobby. The first 2 days of our stay they had some tables & chairs that one could use for a laptop but then they removed those & I had to use my lap. One of the desk clerks mentioned that they were planning a business center upstairs that we would be able to use in the future. You would think they would prepare that before removing the tables & chairs.
There was a room right off the reception desk that had a pair of hot tubs but I never used them. The mini-golf course is behind the building and is quite basic-some rectangles with artificial grass & holes. Think there was a small playground but I wouldn't swear to it.
All in all, this is better than a hotel/motel because it has a kitchen, but that's about all it has going for it. Don't go here planning to rely on the "resort" for your entertainment.
